Im oddly excited about this :)Now that I know hurricanes can hit TN, I have been working to make an inventory of my home and look for ways to save and protect my valuables and non replaceable items. Paper documents are always replaceable but personal sensitive data is stressful to think about existing somewhere thats not in your own hands.This will be useful to have in an easily accessible place to hopefully take with me in an emergency however because it is fireproof, I can risk leaving it behind and my items having the chance of being safe.It has a lock to lock the zippers in place. The zipper track is covered to prevent fire from burning the cloth.The inside is nicely organized with lots of dividers. Great for files and important items.

This is a useful portable organizer for being ready in case of an emergency evacuation, or for that matter just to keep important documents sorted and organized. The case is lightweight but has a hard shell. Convenient colored file separators with tabs and multiple pockets inside are helpful for organizing. I know people who lost their home due to a wildfire and have family who had to be evacuated in the recent Los Angeles fires, which brought to mind for us the importance of having important documents ready to go if needed. After our pets, documents and old family historical (non-digital) photos are the most important things to take in an emergency and I can’t imagine trying to lug a metal safe in a hurry.I have had concerns that a portable organizer would be tempting to thieves, but making things hard for them to find also makes it hard for us to be ready. Maybe it’s a good idea to have back up copies in a safe to make it easier to replace some documents if the organizer is stolen or doesn’t survive a natural disaster. The zipper locking mechanism is not as secure as a metal safe but could deter snooping. It was a little hard to figure out how to use the lock at first but once I looked at photos and moved the zippers into position it made sense. It is set to 000 and ready to try by pushing in the lock’s side button, which opens the space to insert the zipper pulls and locks them by releasing the button. There are details on how to reset the lock code on an enclosed card that would be a good idea to keep. Although this organizer is fairly spacious inside I think it would be useful to have a second one depending on needs.

I love this for the ideal organization that it provides. There are compartments to organize important papers, slots for credit cards and ID cards, and open sections for random items. The locking mechanism is simple to use, although, it is only a zipper lock, so it really will not keep someone out that really wants to get in. I was surprised to have this arrive and it be a softer material. I have a fireproof safe and it is a solid, durable case. This is softer and I question whether the zipper would really prevent the contents from melting/burning, especially since there is a gap where the zipper meets when you lock it, unless you intentionally push the 2 zippers to make sure they meet. Overall, it is a nice storage box, but I am not sure about the fireproof claim. The box that I purchased before this one feels much more durable and was more reasonably priced. However, this one offers more organizational features, which I appreciate.
