Light and easy to put on. I wanted something to keep snow out of my low hiking shoes and this worked.

Offer fine protection and keeps duff out of your boots. Really well made gaiter, easy to put on and take off. Very breathable.

Great fit. Does exactly what it's designed for.

I wanted these gaiters primarily for keeping rocks, debris, and muck from getting into the tops of my boots and down my socks when I'm hiking in shorts. In the L/XL size with the strap at full length I can comfortably wear them over my Solomon Quest Element full hiking boots size men's 11. Theres only a couple of inches of gaiter above the boot but more than enough to prevent debris getting in.I've only worn them for fit so far but they are light (despite being the heavier weight model) and seem reasonable tough. The fabric is stretchy and breathable with a DWR so not waterproof. This is fine as I want them to keep out debris more than anything else and I have full length Gore Tex gaiters if I need serious rain protection.I went with the RENAgaiter model because it has a hard plastic protector over the side of the strap because I'll be using this in rocky terrain. Right now my only concern is the life of the zip. Depending on the size of your boot you may have to pull the sides together a bit to start the zip. Time will tell if that stresses it.

If you hike in the woods in New England (and elsewhere) you should try gaiters. Nothing worse than stopping to clean out your low to mid-height boots every 10 minutes. Leaves, pine needles and sand are magnets to a good pair of hiking socks. This brand is great for keeping out debris and unwanted guests. I Haven’t tried fording any rivers yet but low, damp grass does not bother my socks anymore A bit hard to put on quickly so I just leave them on my hikers in the truck. One quick zip and I am off.Down side, a bit “dorky” looking to the casual dog walker/uninformed but if you value a solid uninterrupted trip anywhere less traveled, you need a pair of these. Once adjusted you won’t even notice them. Fair price too. Only have double digit miles on them, so I’ll update durability once I get more miles on them.Take a Hike!!!
