This is the perfect addition to my tool kit,As an apprentice Luthier at College planing & scraping wood is a constant daily task & after 5 mins setting this up it was cutting shavings of wood like a dream & left the surface almost perfect, each piece of wood is unique so requires a bit of trial & error to find the best orientation to plane it properly, but after seeing these results I'm confident that this will be a great time saving investment that leaves an almost perfect surface finish, I did watch a few videos on how to set these Japanese plane's up properly so I wasn't buying on impulse, be patient when adjusting because it's definitely worth it as the steel is razor sharp!I Would definitely recommend to anyone who works with wood regularly as you won't regret it.
