This is your next must-have knife. Of course you'll like the size and how it feels in your hand. You'll appreciate the useful modified clip-point blade. But it's the little flourishes that take the Flourish over the top. The big 3.5 in. (approx. 9 cm) blade has a top swedge and a hollow grind. But there's also a machined recess in the upper part of the blade to add visual interest. Combined, the swedge and the recess also slightly lighten the weight of this larger knife. But we're not done yet. Next, Kershaw BlackWashed the blade grinds, giving the Flourish an attractive finish that also hides scratches. Finally, Kershaw put a satin finish on the blade flats. The result is a two-tone blade with an abundance of style and cutting performance. Access the blade with Kershaw's quick and snappy SpeedSafe assisted opening. The handle offers additional details. The scales, both front and back, are machined G-10 with a carbon fiber overlay that gives the Flourish a classy, even high-tech look. Chamfering on the handle ensures that it fits securely and comfortably in the hand. A sturdy liner lock secures the blade open during use. There's a built-in lanyard tie-off that's actually large enough to get your paracord through. The final flourish is a reversible deep-carry pocket clip for left- or right-handed carry.

I am in construction and I have been carrying this knife for the last couple years. I probably use it 10-20 times a day from cutting poly, rope, zip ties, cardboard, packaging, you name it. The steel is hard enough to keep an edge but soft enough to easily sharpen with minimal effort. It has a great profile that feels good in your hand and hardly noticeable when it’s in your pocket. This is my 2nd knife of this exact brand and model. I lost the other one who knows where. I have forgotten this knife several times and regret the days I do. I have bought this exact knife as gifts for friends and family members. I think it’s utility, fit and finish is equal to other brands that are much more expensive. I’m hard on things and have to remind myself to not use it for prying or as a screwdriver. The tip is durable and has never broke. This might be one of my favorite Amazon purchases and I buy a lot of stuff.

Buen cuchillo con fácil y rápida apertura, empuñamiento cómodo y tamaño adecuado.Únicamente un punto negativo por su peso algo elevado.

Let me start with the only two cons of this knife (but neither are enough for me to dock it a star).Cons:1) It's a little on the heavy side2) It WILL wear a hole in your pants due to the "point" at the top of the handle designPros:1) The modified drop point is a beautiful blade profile. Perfect for piercing/stabbing and slicing/cutting alike2) It's a VERY thin blade. If you're the kind of guy that digs around in the dirt or uses their knife as a pry bar, this won't work for you. If you value your blade as a cutting tool, you'll be glad.3) 8Cr13MoV steel is a good (not great) budget stainless steel. It sharpens easily, is strong, holds an edge decently, but not as well as 440c or AUS8. That said, be sure you know how to sharpen a blade well.4) The flat bottom of the handle is a perfect thumb rest if you had to use the knife in a worse case defense scenario with the blade held tip down.In Conclusion:Yes it's a bit heavy. Yes the steel is good, but not great. Yes the knife will ABSOLUTELY wear a hole in your pocket. But for $35 I can't think of a better EDC. What you get for the price is what this review is about. Again, you can't get a better every day pocket knife for the price. Period.
