I’ve used this a few times now and seems to work really well. I like that K&F magnetic filters and this was the perfect addition.I’m not sure why other have been having issues with it falling off. I’ve found the magnet ring to be strong enough and fits well. The only thing I can think of is they haven’t made sure the filter has fully connected.

I like K&F stuff. Sadly, all three kits I ordered (72mm and two 77mm) were missing the magnetic adapter rings completely defeating the point of having a magnetic variable ND kit.

I never found I needed ND filters of stills photography (I've had a few in my bag for years and never taken them out of their cases to actually use). That's not to say they couldn’t have been used for some shots, just that I've never really needed them for mine. However, when starting to get into video, I'd read that ND filters are a necessity when recording outdoors (especially in daylight)! There are some cheap ones available, as well as some very expensive ones - both fixed and variable density. I toyed with getting a set of fixed ones but thought I'd test the need with an ND, and one in the middle of the price range. I also opted of the magnetic mount as it seemed a useful alternative to having to screw it on.I've found that ND filters really are needed for video (especially with a camera that works best set at "ISO400") and this one has done the job for me. Variable NDs can suffer from an X pattern at their densest setting - I've not needed to use this one at its darkest but it doesn't appear to suffer from that flaw (well, not noticeable to me). And the magnetic mount is great (a magnetic lens cap was dearer than I'd have liked, but worth it for the convenience).

L'ho comprato per usarlo sul mio Fujinon 100-400 per un uso naturalistico. la comodità di poterlo mettere e toglie in un attimo in questo ambito è impagabile.

Der ND-Filter an sich hat eine gute optische Qualität. Allerdings ist der Magnet nicht stark genug, so dass der Filter leicht vom Objektiv abfällt und auf den Boden fällt. Insofern ist diese Funktion unbrauchbar. Daher kann ich leider für diese Fehlkonstruktion keine Empfehlung aussprechen.

After reading some other reviews that said that the magnetic ring wasn’t strong enough to hold the filter I just wanted to try myself. I have no problem with the ND filter falling of the lens. I use this in ND on stage filming artists. The only thing I find strange is that is doesn’t come with a magnetic lens cover, you have to buy this separately.

The filter is good with no 'X' effect at maximum ND. It is larger than 67 at front to avoid vignetting on wide-angles so no attachment for more 67mm filters (eg CPL). They go behind. No lens cap either. It does have a dedicated, marked, rotation ring but the base must be secured with the supplied magnetic adapter as it contains raised portions to prevent rotation of the rear part of the VND filter. It fits other adapters but you have to set the ND value first really as its impossible to keep the base still. No problem if you know what you are doing ;-) but maybe problem for videography. No vignetting on my Sony 20mm f1.8 on an A7R3 so I am not sure what other reviewers are using.

Super Filter! Von irgendwelchen Vignetten ist hier nirgends etwas zu sehen. Der Magnet ist stark und hält auf meinem 67mm SmallRig Adapter fürs Iphone 13 Pro tadellos.Ich glaube dass manche den Magnet Adapter (welcher mitgeliefert wird) drauf gelassen haben und sich dann wundern, dass der Filter nicht ordentlich hält xD

So ich habe es in Versuch gehabt und bin sehr Zufrieden damit . War mein erstes Bild mit den Filtern Überhaubt. Gerne Weiter zu Empfehlen. LG da Enzianhonse!

Bin eigentlich von KF Filter überzeugt die Magnetversion ist jedoch nicht empfehlenswert und ich werde demnächst wieder auf Schraubfilter wechseln. Leider den eigentlich gute Idee nur wenn beim öffnen des Objektivschutz der Filter mitrunter geht dann …

K&F Concept Nano-X variabel ND mit Gewinde vs. K&F Concept Nano-X Magnetisch vs. Freewell variabel ND mit GewindeAuf der Such nach einem variablen ND Filter für Weitwinkel bis 24 mm Brennweite (APS-C 16 mm) habe ich die drei Filter bei amazon.de bestellt. Da Preise sich ständig ändern möchte ich nur die Reihenfolge nennen. Der K&F Concept Nano-X ND mit Gewinde ist der Günstigste, der K&F Concept Nano-X Magnetisch der Mittelpreisige und der Freewell mit 77mm Gewinde der Teuerste.Fotografiert habe ich mit den 3 Filtern am brandneuen Nikkor Z 4 / 24-120 mm und dem Fujinon 2,8 / 16-55 mm.Die Abdunklungen vom K&F Concept Nano-X ND und K&F Concept Nano-X Magnetisch sind identisch. Die Freewell startet mit etwas stärkerer Abdunklung. Ca. 1/4 Blende oder Zeit.Bei der Vignettierungen (dunkle Bildecken) unterscheiden die 3 Filter sich deutlich. Am schlechtesten schneidet am Nikkor Z 4 / 24-120 mm bei 24 mm Brennweite der K&F Concept Nano-X Magnetisch ab (siehe Foto). Wenn es unbedingt magnetisch sein soll würde ich auf einen größeren Filterdurchmesser gehen und einen Reduzierungsring benutzen. Der K&F Concept Nano-X ND vignettiert etwas weniger (am Fuji 2,8 / 16-55 mm gar nicht). Der variable ND Filter von Freewell erzielt durch die sehr flache Bauweise die besten Ergebnisse bei der Vignettierung.Die beiden K&F Concept Nano-X erzeugen beim drehen großflächige Bildflecken. Der Freewell bleibt frei von dieser Eigenschaft.Am leichtesten läßt sich der Freewell für die variable Abdunklung drehen. Der K&F Concept Nano-X ist doch so viel schwerer gängig, dass er sich bei einer Richtung aus dem Objektivgewinde löst.Am besten für den Transport verpackt finde ich den K&F Concept Nano-X ND. Hier erhält man eine schöne runde Box mit Schnapper. Am wenigsten gefiel mir die quadratische Plastikbox von Freewell, dafür kann man aber bei Freewell eine sehr gute (Kunst)Lederbox mit Reisverschluss für insgesamt 5 Filter kaufen.Der Teuerste der 3 variablen ND Filter ist für mich der Beste, zumal man kostenfrei beim Freewell Filter einen magnetischen Deckel dazu erhält. Den muss man bei den K&F Filtern einzeln dazu kaufen, wenn man ihn überhaupt angeboten bekommt.Ich freue mich, wenn mein Beitrag als hilfreich eingeschätzt wird und die Entscheidung leichter macht.

Der magnetische Adapter-Ring hat leider ein sehr auffälliges, unnötiges und störendes Branding, das sichtbar ist, wenn der Filter selbst nicht drauf ist. Die Menschen auf die ich meine Kamera richte, sollen das nicht lesen müssen.Ansonsten funktioniert die magnetische Kopplung sehr gut. Man legt ihn an, muss dann meistens ein bisschen drehen, bis es klackt und dann sitzt der Filter sehr sicher drauf. Mega praktisch beim Arbeiten.Die optischen Qualitäten sind, wie auch sonst bei dieser Filter-Serie, gut.

Update 24 oct 2022: Have contacted customer service and they quickly sent me a new one. Great and kind service! From the first looks the magnetic filter sticks better to the lens but I have still to use it in practice. Will send another update after a month or so using it.September 2022:Usually I'm quite fond of K&F products, but this one is truly disappointing. The filtering is very good but the magnet is so weak that even the slightest move will drop your filter to the ground.Have requested a refund of a model that works.
