What a cool way to fix broken items! However, there’s a learning curve. You might want to start with an object that’s not valuable to you and practice. It’s a bit tricky to get an even line/amount of the material and if you mess it up, it’s difficult to fix without wiping it all off (also difficult). However, it does stick well and give a nice result once fully cured. I like that they also include filler for larger spots where you may have gaps in your ceramics due to shattering.

It does come with a lot of items in it. The directions are straight forward to read. I have used it to repair a couple of ceramic items - a dragon that lost his tail and a knight who lost his arm. It works well and the repaired figurines look nice. It makes me happy that they are repaired and in a safer spot from the cats.

These kits are always smaller than they appear, with everything laid out in the photo; even the large box is only 7 x 5 inches--just fyi in case you were thinking of giving this as a gift; again, even the large is pretty small and unimpressive. The only think I liked better about this kit compared to others is the ceramic bown provided which the user will break and then piece back together using the kintsugi method.

I've always loved the art of Kintsugi. Broken things being put back together with gold to make them even more beautiful than they were the first time is just so poetic. I love that this kit actually came with a piece of pottery to break in case you don't have something in mind to fix upon purchasing. I used it to repair the handle on a mug. This kit isn't necessarily the truest iteration of that craft, as you mix the metallic powder into the epoxy instead of painting it on after, though I can understand simplifying the process for market. The only reason this isn't a five star review is the instructions are painfully vague. There's no ratio for how much powder to epoxy, or how to clean out the odd nozzle that attaches to the dispenser. I also worry that the provided latex gloves are not the proper amount of PPE when it comes to handling 2-part liquid epoxy.PLEASE DO THIS IN A WELL-VENTILATED AREA! DO NOT GET IT ON YOUR SKIN! LET PIECES CURE OUTSIDE IF YOU DON'T HAVE A DEDICATED RESIN SPACE!!

It's a really good kit, but I highly recommend taking your time. Yes the glue sets quickly but if you think you can do multiple pieces before the glue sets in literally 60 seconds you're going to screw up and shift your pieces too much. I thought mine was lined up and honestly I though the glue was almost set so I was rushing with the last few pieces to not have to make more glue … one side of the mug is lined up perfectly while the other is wonky … the kit is great and it was clearly human error that messed up but I'm hoping I can salvage it. And hopefully it looks at least decent once it's done.
