Meta Quest VR work great in dark

I wanted to give this a thorough nights use before I left my review. Let me just say, WOW!🤩 It was EXACTLY what I was looking for to fix my dark room tracking issue with my Meta Quest 3!!! I used to have to deal with not being able to use my Meta Quest 3 at night time unless I either had lights on in the room, or I was inevitably forced to function without pass through and in some environment of sorts. Since I bought this IR device, I’ve said goodbye to those nights!!! So. Let me give you some insight on how great this thing is… I went to a COMPLETELY dark room in my house after the sun went down and I turned on the Quest 3. Immediately I was hit with a tracking lost notification! So I put this device to the test and BAM!!! As soon as I cut it on, all tracking notifications GONE! Granted that it was nothing but black back scene and the windows that I have open! And to me, the best part about it is if I wanted to use the light in the room for a second to find something while using pass through, I could! The cameras on the quest automatically adjusts to the new light and even again when you shut the lights back off!!! As long as you have this thing on, you’d never have to worry about losing tracking again on your headset!!!Now for a couple of opinions. This is a nice piece of work here 😉 It works better than described for its intended purpose. But I wish that I had noticed that this unit takes an 18650 type battery before today. I would have bought one at the same time for portability! Nevertheless. This unit also comes with a Type-C USB port for input power. And the power draw is minimal! On my USB meter, it topped out at 5V 3.5watts on its highest #4 setting. Not very much power consumption at all. Not to mention I only used it on its lowest #1 setting all night, in a fairly large room, more so pointing at the ceiling above my head than at me, and I STILL had no issues!!! (It had about a 140 degree tiltable head. Front to back.) I imagine that this device could transform someone’s visual quality and clarity on night vision security cameras!!! This is WELL worth what I spent! To be honest, they are probably going to go up in price once they see we’ve caught on! So if you need one, get one NOW!!! I’m buying another one when I order those 2 18650 batteries to run them portable!!!(Edit) So I just had a genius idea!!! The nominal voltage of an 18650 battery is about 3.7 volts 10Wh. My stepson had so many empty vape carts in a drawer in his room… And the nominal voltage for them are the same!!! Just the watt hours are about half. I took 2 of those batteries and charged them both separately to the same voltage and then tied them together in parallel to keep the same 3.7 volts and multiply to just about the same watt hours an 18650 has. It fit PERFECTLY in the 18650 battery tray!!! I’ve been using these batteries for multiple hours at a time at night for DAYS and it seemed like it wouldn’t die, so I didn’t turn it off last night when I went to bed and it was STILL ON when I woke up for work and didn’t die until about 20 minutes after I got home from work on an 8 hour shift!!! And on top of that it only took about an hour and a half for those batteries to charge back up while still inside of the device!!! The Type-C port seems to use a built-in PD system to charge. The charge current never went past 5 volts 14 watts… But the charge current also did drop as the batteries approached being full and went to ABSOLUTE ZERO across all fields when the batteries were done charging! Thanks for putting overcharge protection in here guys!!!

War selbst etwas skeptisch, bin nun jedoch positiv überrascht.Mit diesem Artikel ist es nun möglich meine PSVR2 auch ohne Vollbeleuchtung zu nutzen.

We bought 2 of these for Christmas so we can play with our Quest VR late into the night without having to have the lights on.Now I can play all night in our bedroom without disturbing my spouse or keeping them up.We love it!

Extremely satisfied with the product. I can play 11 table tennis in pitch dark now without any problem with my Quest 3.

Schön Akku ist nicht dabei könnte man ja den passenden anbieten?Ok 18650 gekauft tja passt nicht zu lang Gehäuse zu klein super 🤮 ok Gehäuse an Akku angepasst . Funktioniert soweit gut reagiert besser mit der VR Brille bei weniger LichtMan könnte sich ja auf ein Maß einigen was 18650 angeht ?

Die Infrarot-Beleuchtung für die Meta Quest 3 ist einfach der Hammer! 😍🔦 Die Performance mit dem neuesten Update, das Handtracking ermöglicht, ist echt beeindruckend. Plötzlich sieht man seine Hände im Dunkeln klar und deutlich, ohne wie ein Hase nach den Controllern suchen zu müssen. Das ist nicht nur praktisch, sondern macht das VR-Erlebnis gleich viel flüssiger und intuitiver. 🙌💡Was ich besonders cool finde, ist die Möglichkeit, die Beleuchtung mit den Akkus einer Vape zu betreiben. Falls man schon solche Akkus zuhause hat, spart man sich den Kauf neuer. 💸🔋 Und wenn die Vape-Akkus mal nicht zur Hand sind, kann man die Infrarot-Beleuchtung auch bequem über eine Powerbank oder direkt ans Stromnetz anschließen. Die Kombination aus Strom und Akku ist für mich die perfekte Lösung – immer bereit, immer kabellos. ⚡🔌Insgesamt hat mich die Infrarot-Beleuchtung total überzeugt. Sie übertrifft meine Erwartungen und ist definitiv eine wertvolle Ergänzung für meine Meta Quest 3. Wenn du die Sichtbarkeit deiner Hände verbessern willst und gleichzeitig flexibel bleiben möchtest, dann ist diese Beleuchtung genau das Richtige für dich. Uneingeschränkte Empfehlung von mir! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Geräte in Nutzung: Quest 3 / Quest 2 / PSVR2Das KKCOBVR IR-Licht ist für mich fast perfekt. Die Möglichkeit, es über USB-C mit einer Powerbank zu betreiben, macht es extrem praktisch und flexibel – genau das, was ich gesucht habe! Besonders in der dunklen Jahreszeit ist es draußen (Im Garten) eine super Alternative zu großen Scheinwerfern, und zu Hause nutze ich es dank des mitgelieferten Magneten einfach an meiner Wohnzimmer-Wandschrank-Wand. Der Magnet mit 3M-Kleber sorgt dafür, dass das Gerät leicht abnehmbar bleibt, was ich großartig finde.Ein kleines Fragezeichen habe ich allerdings beim Gelenk, mit dem man den Abstrahlwinkel einstellen kann. Es ist angenehm smooth und lässt sich sehr leicht verstellen, was einerseits wirklich schön ist. Andererseits frage ich mich, wie langlebig diese Konstruktion ist, da man etwas mehr Widerstand erwarten würde. Solange es hält, sehe ich das als positiven Nebeneffekt, aber ich hoffe, dass es nicht zu schnell an Stabilität verliert.Alles in allem ein durchdachtes und vielseitiges Gerät, das ich sehr empfehlen kann – mit einem kleinen Blick auf die Haltbarkeit des Gelenks.

I really love this product, having the chance to play without lights plus easy carrying is amazing, you can plug it yo a USB C and / or just add a battery (it's not included and it's not a normal AA) but for 5 euros you can find the battery in Amazon.

Kann man VR auch in einem dunklen Heimkino spielen (wenn andere gleichzeitig via Leinwand alles mitverfolgen)? Ja, man kann! Dieses kleine Ding, an der Unterseite übrigens magnetisch, spendet für den Menschen unsichtbares IR-Licht. Die Kameras des VR-Headsets (bei mir die PS VR2) "sehen" den Raum dann richtig hell! Man kann die Helligkeit in vier Stufen einstellen, selbst die niedrigste reicht schon meistens aus. Also: Im Dunkeln sitzen und VR-Spielen geht, da die Controller dank IR-Licht fehlerfrei erkannt werden. Super!
