These gate hinges were just what I needed in terms of size, strength, installation and maintenance (the grease fittings allow easy lubrication of the moving parts). There is some room for improvement (read below) but I would buy more of these if/when the need arises.Problem 1 and solutions:The hinges come with straight grease nipples. Once the hinge is bolted in place, there is not enough clearance between the heads of the bolts and the grease nipple to fit a standard grease gun on the nipple when you want to re-lubricate the hinge in the future. My "hack" for that was to replace the straight nipples with 90° nipples. Another "user hack" is to buy a low-profile 90° adapter for your grease gun and leave the straight nipples in place. LockNLube (U.S. company that also sells on Amazon) has such an adapter for about 11 USD.The attached photo shows what my hinges look like after I swapped the nipples. The replacement nipples are cheap and easily found BUT it would make a LOT of sense for the hinges to be fitted with 90° grease nipples at the factory. The ones they use, by default, are just not useful after the hinge is installed.Problem 2 and solutions:In the same photo you can see one other minor issue that I had with these particular hinges. The clearance between the top of the grease nipple and the nut that I used to mount the hinge was only JUST enough to be able turn the nut on three of the four hinges that I received in my order. On one of the four hinges, the variation in the placement of the hinge on the mounting plate was slightly too far from being centerred between the mounting holes to allow me to put on and turn one of the two standard 10mm-thread hex nuts that I used. This clearance problem was true with the original (default) straight nipples and the 90° nipples that I used. So, very small variances in the fabrication process (the welding step) from one hinge to another might spoil your day. My "hack" for this problem (needed on only 1 of the 4 hinges) was to enlarge the holes in the mounting plate of the hinge to let me increase the spacing of the mounting bolts and, thus, increasing my clearance between the head of the nuts and the grease nipple. Once again, this potential problem could be mitigated in the manufacturing process. Simply increasing the distance between the mounting holes would give a greater tolerance for slight variations in the welding step of hinge fabrication.That is it. Bottom line: I would definitely buy more of these, even knowing that there is a potential need to make the small modifications that I have described.

Gute Qualität und mit Schmiernippel denke ich sollten die lange ihre Arbeit tun.

Kotarbau Torangeln habe ich fürs Gartentor verwendet. Sehr stabil, absolut zufrieden.

Das nenn ich mal gut mitgedacht.Die Scharniere haben oben so wie unten einen Abschmiernippel zum Fetten.Dadurch kann natürlich keine Feuchtigkeit mehr eindringen, das Scharnier läuft viel leichter und der verschleiß wird reduziert.Wieviel die Scharniere nun wirklich aushalten kann ich nicht sagen, da ich sie zweckentfremdet habe.Aber ein Normales Gartentor oder eine einfache Tür halten die auf jeden fall. Wenn ordentlich geschmiert wurde ;-)

Leider hat sich eine Mutter beim drauf drehen festgefressen - zum Glück an einer Stelle wo ich diese lassen kann - allerdings wäre noch 2 cm Gewinde über gewesen..

Habe eine Tür aus Stahlrohren geschweißt . Beplankt mit Duplex Platten . 3Bänder dran gemacht. Die Tür wiegt ca 100kg . Läuft Spielfrei und ganz ruhig . Top Bänder
