I purchased my KitchenAid Pro Line Burr Coffee Grinder, Pearl Metallic, from Amazon in 2005. It’s a workhorse. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00030IEJG?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_5It’s fantastic that replacement jars for this grinder are readily available. This jar arrived in perfect condition and fits the grinder perfectly. It looks and feels like the original jar that came with the grinder.This is the third replacement Lower Glass Hopper Jar I’ve ordered from Amazon. I think I have ordered one or two jars like this from other stores, so I’ve needed a replacement every 4 or 5 years. I have another coffee grinder where the jar got broken more quickly, and I have no idea where to get a replacement for that jar. It’s a testament to the strong availability of KitchenAid compatible replacement parts. Equipment is only as good as its replacement parts availability.

This jar was a perfect fit for my KPCG100. While not as thick as a mason jar, it’s not thin by any means. It’s even a fraction thicker than the other replacement I have. I ordered this one as a spare because they are so easy to break. All it takes is one accidental tap with the portafilter to shatter one. I would definitely buy this again.

This is very good. The glass is slightly thicker than the original that came with the grinder, but it still fits into the grinder perfectly. I recommend this as a very good replacement for the original.

This fit my kitchenaid pro grinder perfectly. I was worried that it wasn’t a super snug fit when I slipped it in so I tried a test grind. Perfect! No mess or fly away coffee.The glass is much thicker than the original bowl, almost on par with the top . The original was a delicate thin glass . This is more like a glass storage bowl . I think it will stand the test of time!

Obviously, an item like this doesn't require tight tolerances, so I'm not going to bother you with measurements.I ordered this to have a spare for my KitchenAid KCG0702CS, as I've been always concerned that I might not be able to find a replacement, should this fragile part break.It does fit, and fits nicely, so it will serve the purpose very well.The reason I'm taking off one star is because of the glass consistency, or, rather, lack thereof.Overall, the glass is thicker than the original, and it does feel heavier. Original weighs about 137g, whereas this one weighs around 200g. However, the thickness is not uniform. See the photo - the jar that I got has a very pronounced thickening in the bottom. This gives an overall impression that the production quality is lacking and if you decide to order this product, you're at the mercy of randomness.If you don't care about the looks and all you need is functionality, then go ahead and order, if the price is right. You won't be disappointed - that will be money well sent!However, if you do care about the aesthetics, and don't want any blemishes, then you might as well skip this and look for alternatives.
