Ich verwende den Einsatz im Composer Pro an der Lumix G 9. Wie alle Optiken von Lensbaby: sehr gut. Man muß in diesem Fall nur darauf achten, den Composer nicht zu stark zu verschwenken, weil sonst der Focus außerhalb des Focuskreises liegt.

Obiektyw nieprzewidywalny. Za każdym razem inaczej się zachowuje mimo takich samych ustawień. Taki niedopracowany. Po założeniu do "Bazy" nie jest w pełni usztywniony "cos lata". O wiele lepiej zachowuje się Sweet 50. Może miałem pecha i trafiłem na wadliwy egzemplarz.

Ich mag das Ergebnis mit den Objektiven von Lensbaby, wenn auch der Kundenservice von Lensbaby auf meine Frage nicht geantwortet hat und eigentlich damit einen Stern Abzug verdient hätte.Ich nutze das Objektiv an einer Nikon mit DX Format.

Ich nutze die Lensbay Edge 80 Optik in Kombination mit Lensbaby Composer Pro und Sony Alpha 77 II .Mit etwas Übung kann man mit dieser Optik sehr schön einen Streifen im Bildausschnitt betonen bzw. den Rest verschwimmen lassen und somit tolle Effekte erzielen. Spart viel Arbeit, die man sonst in die Nachbearbeitung in Bildbearbeitungssoftware stecken würde, und man sieht gleich das Ergebnis.Ich habe den Kauf nicht bereut. Siehe auch angefügte Bilder

Dieses Objektiv eröffnet am Lensbaby-Composer jede Menge Möglichkeiten zur kreativen Gestaltung des Bildes.Für Fotografen, die noch gerne "mit eigenem Geschick" fotografieren ein Muss.Ideal auch mit Zwischenring als Makroobjektiv. Der Composer mit seiner "Tilt/Shift-Eigenschaft" ermöglichtentsprechende Tiefenschärfen an seitlich fotografierten Objekten.

Ich bin erst mal zufrieden. Das Lensbaby Edge 80 war mit in vielen Fällen - vor allem am APS-C-Sensor etwas zu lang. Hier kommt man mit dem Bildfeld entsprechend 75mm KB des 50-ers besser hin. Am Vollformat ist die Normalbrennweite gerade für die Aufnahme relativ naher Objekte gut geeignet. Unterstützend wirkt sich dabei auch aus, dass diese Optik etwas "Zusatzauszug" gleich mitbringt. Noch etwas Zwischenring (entweder Lensbaby oder je nach Anschluss und man kommt problemlos auf 1:1. Dann "hängt" man allerdings schon sehr nahe am Objekt und die passende Beleuchtung wird etwas schwierig. Man muss dann relativ spitzwinklig beleuchten, was SW-Aufnahmen entgegen kommt, bei Farbaufnahmen aber nicht gerade hilfreich ist.

I prodotti Lensbaby sono molto divertenti da utilizzare, permettono effetti creativi piacevoli e interessanti. Questo 80 mm è uno dei più difficili (a mio modesto avviso) da usare. Bisogna veramente prenderci mano con un po' di pratica prima di riuscire a tirar fuori qualcosa di buono. Tuttavia poi, una volta presa confidenza, si riescono a realizzare scatti di superba qualità. Lente consigliata per il ritratto creativo.

langsam fange ich an mit den Dingern (edge 80 und Sweet 35) zurecht zu kommen...Ich habe beide an einer Nikon D810 und einer Nikon D4s getestet. An der Nikon D4s funktionieren die "Scherben" besser als an den 36MPixel der D8XX. Die Linsen sind für die 36MPixel optisch einfach viel zu schlecht. Die optische Auflösung wird vermutlich auch für die 16Mpixel der D4s nicht reichen - fühlt sich dort aber vom Effekt her gut an und liefert die erwarteten Ergebnisse...Scharfstellen ist ein Krampf - bei beiden muss man die Blende komplett aufmachen, um manuell vernünftig fokussieren zu können! Der Dioptrieausgleich am Sucher muss korrekt eingestellt sein, sonst ist ein halbblinder Vogel, wie ich, aufgeschmissen.Beim 35er sitzt der Blendenring auch noch saublöd... (dafür müsste ich das Sweet 35 mit 1 Stern bewerten) wenn man den durch das Fokussieren zu weit nach hinten gedreht hat, verschwindet er fast unter dem Fokusring (Das blöde Teil fährt aus und ein) - dann kann ich mit meinen Conchitafingerlein brausen gehen... Tilt/Shift usw... man kann den Schärfeverlauf und die Perspektive schön verschieben - braucht aber echt Übung aber: UNBEDINGT nachdem man diese Parameter eingestellt hat, den Tilt/Shiftmechanismus arretieren, da man sonst beim Fokussieren oder mit dem Blendenring wieder die Tilt/Shift EInstellungen versaut... Belichtungseinstellung: bitte vergesst Zeit Automatik... geht gerade mal bei nicht oder nur wenig Tilt/Shift. Sobald da mehr verschoben ist, ist die Kamera interne Messung meilenweit daneben und alle Bilder sind brutal (5-10 Blenden) überbelichtet! Mit etwas Übung geht aber der intuitive Belichtungsmesser ganz gut. Lichtstärke: 2,8 finde ich lustig... durch das Rotationsgelenk verliert das Ding brutal an Lichtstärke. Die 2,8 mögen für die Tiefenschärfe gelten, definitiv nicht für die Menge an Licht die am Sensor ankommt. Das entspricht da schon gefühlten 11...Der Wechselmechanismus am Composer Pro ist billiger Plastikmist. drei Plastikbögen werden nach innen gedrückt, dann kann man das Objektiv herausdrehen und das nächste montieren... Genauso der Blendenring - auch Kunststoff...Absolut genial ist aber das Bokeh vom Edge 80... das ist wirklich super sauber rund - kenne ich nur vom Nikon 135DC 2,0...Wofür ich die Lensbabies verwende: im künstlerischen Bereich - um einfach gezielt mit Unschärfen arbeiten zu können. Warum hier nicht ein perfektes Bild mit einem normalen Objektiv machen und dann mit Exposure oder anderen Tools Digital die Unschärfen erzeugen - ja ist eine Lösung, auch noch flexibler dazu... aber: kommt nicht out of the Cam (kostet auch nicht rund 600€ - wenn man beide kauft :-) ). Und im Spaßbereich - da kann man schon ganz lustige Dinge anstellen... Nur: beide benötigen eindeutig echt Übung und Geduld. Raufstecken, losknipsen und glauben man wird Ergebnisse erzielen wie auf der Google Bildersuche - ROFL....

had a lens baby for a while now, and wanted a 3rd optic, was originally planning on getting the sweet 35, but im so glad i got this, it has so many more abilities, and is so much nicer to use, would maybe recoment a Composer Pro body though as the normal composrer itsnt really strong enough to support the weight of the glass, but other than this i love it will be shooting it more soon

zusammen mit dem Composer und dem Sweet35 bestellt und an der Nikon D90 ausprobiert.das auswechseln der Linse Sweet35 gegen die EDGE80 kein problem,es gibt auch unter Youtube ein video in deutsch welches das wechseln super erklärt.Nach anfänglichem einschießen,ist ja alles manuell,bin ich von der EDGE80 Linse voll überzeugt.saubere scharfzeichnung zum rand hin etwas abfallend,aber nicht dramatisch,allein den composer/edge80 nur zum portraitieren absolute sahne und in zusammenarbeit mit dem composer läßt ein guter tilt-shift erzeugen,aber auch hier ist viel ausprobieren und geduldt gefragt,bis der erste gute schuß sitzt,aber wenn dann kann man richtig spass haben und sehr gute erfolge verzeichnen.......

The Lensbaby Edge 80 Optic is one of Lensbaby's "swappable" optics for its line of lenses. It has a focal length of 80mm and features a 12-blade aperture with a range from f/2.8 through f/22. It can function as a regular 80mm f/2.8 lens when facing forward on your camera, but this optic's special feature is that it allows you to employ the usual Lensbaby bend and tilt to reposition your plane of focus along any point not parallel with your camera's sensor plane.The usual Lensbaby lens tilt allows you to place the point of focus (with varying diffusion all around that point) but did not allow you to change the plane of focus itself. With this optic you can put a "slice of focus" through your image in creative ways. For example, you can highlight a certain aspect of the photo (such as producing a portrait where the eyes are in sharpest focus and everything else is softly blurred), or you can create the "false miniature" effect where the objects photographed take on the appearance of miniature scale models. The optic also has a close focus mode that will allow a close focus distance of 17".There is a bit of learning curve for this optic. Expect to play around for bit before you get the hang of it. There are some good video tutorials on the Lensbaby site. I included a couple of example photos with this review.You don't need to swap lenses to get back to "normal." As I mentioned earlier, the Edge 80 behaves like a normal 80mm lens when you aren't employing any of its tilt features. The aperture ring on the optic adjusts smoothly, and focusing and tilt occurs on the lens body itself. The shift from regular focus mode to close focus mode is a little tight -- you have to firmly pull the front edge of the optic outward. But, I imagine that's as it should be to avoid it shifting by itself.My one source of frustration so far is in detaching the optic from the lens itself. Suffice to say you will need to review Lensbaby's instructions for this, and practice several times before you can successfully detach the optic. My first try took almost half an hour, which is not a delay you would want to experience in the field. I did get better with practice, but it's still a bit of tricky. Older hands might suffer more than younger hands. I've found in practice you can get by with swapping out other Lensbaby optics from the lens without detaching the lens from your camera, but with the Edge 80 optic, you really need to detach the whole lens first in order to get the optic out of the lens. That will allow you to get the best grip on the components when performing the detach maneuver.Note that the optic in this product listing is not sold with a lens. The Edge 80 only works with the latest line of Lensbaby Lenses (NOT the 1.0, 2.0 or 3G). You need at least one of the current Lensbaby Lenses to use this optic. The optic works with the Muse, Composer, Control Freak and Scout lenses; it can also work with the Composer with Tilt Transformer, but you need to buy the Macro Converters in order to use the Edge 80 optic with that lens. Note too that if you want true macro capability, you will need to buy the Macro Converters anyway, regardless of which Lensbaby lens you have (their earlier Macro accessories will not work with this optic).Normal in-lens tilt-shift lens are expensive ($1200-$2500). While the Edge 80 does not give you all the features of such a dedicated lens, it is a highly affordable alternative that provides enough capability for many tilt/shift needs. It's a great way to get into this type of photography without breaking the bank. Highly recommend.
