I already use a "bird nose" style mechanical rivet gun. THe nose is offset 90 degrees from the handles. Can be good in situations where long handles at 90 degrees offset allow access to tighter locations. The Liberation rivet gun is a straight inline nose with the long handles.This setup for me does provide better leverage, especially with larger rivets where I like to apply more push pressure on the rivet to ensure it gets a tight fit and therefore a snug compression on the materials. THis little kit comes with everything I need to get going on a job, even including some rivets and correctly sized drill bits.Using the tools feels intuitive, and slick. The handles work efficiently and provide good pressure, even on the larger rivets. I also like the quick release of the nail and easy changeover of the rivet heads. All my rivets turned out well, thanks to the smooth movement of the handles and good positioning of the nose and handles.

The riveter was shipped and delivered on time. I like the feel and ease of use. It is easy to use and the rivets are good quality. The rivet gun is quality made and the heads are very good quality and easy to change. The only issue was with the 1/8th/3.2 head was not drilled all the way through. But it has another 1/8th you can use. Recommend the set

Typically these days I prefer to use airtools espescially for things like this as they are just faster, require less effort and are consistent.There are times though where you cant get an air tool into place, or simply too far from a power source and need a mechanical toolThis works pretty well and for a DIYer that doesn't need to use it all that often it serves just fine.The drill bits and included rivets make this a purchase and go set without the need to go out and get loads of other supporting materials. Dual handle makes this so much easier to use than the standard pistol grip type which become very hard to use at larger sizes. These handles are just about long enough to make it an easier job for larger rivets and due to the shape of the handles you can get a bit of extra leverage in there too.

I wanted to fit extra locks to my garage door & ideally wanted to fit with6mm rivets. The LIBRATON Rivet Gun was supplied with a selection of different size rivets & a selection of drillsTo match the rivets. I decided to try & fit the locks with the supplied 6.4mm dia rivets. I was concerned would IBe able to close the rivets tight, what a pleasant surprise the rivet gun sealed the 6.4mm dia rivets with ease.I was very impressed with the LIBRATON Rivet Gun set. The best that I have used in over 44 years engineeringExperience & I have fitted hundreds of rivets.
