This stand is solid and easy to put together, it is a discreet stand for all my pikes, spears, and practice katana. They are hardly noticable behind a chair and they take up way less room than a horizontal rack would. Well worth the money.

Pretty overpriced for a cheap stand/holder. First the box came with no directions on how to setup the stand itself. Second the wood came in chipped, dirty and broken. Its not a good stand nor is well made or taken care of. Seems like it should be more around the range of 20-25 dollars

I have several horizontal wall sword stands that are working decently for most of my swords, but those stands obviously are not optimal for longer weapons. Enter this sword stand. It works perfectly fine for all those swords as well, but it is actually stable enough to handle 7' and 8' spears and staves. The stand comes in flat slat sections that join together with simple metal screw bolts with hex heads. Assembly is straight forward, albeit crude, since none of the slats have notches or other guiding features to ensure alignment; to keep the whole assembly square when assembling, do not tighten down any of the bolts fully until it is all lined up.The base slat has cross-shaped indents to catch the base of your sword or weapon. It can only be installed at an angle, but there are two or three angle choices due to four different holes on each side slat. The angle though means that the upper two cross slats need to be positioned well for your weapon types.Positioning the upper two slats required a little bit of trial and error to ensure that they were close enough front-to-back to hold the spears without jiggling, but not so narrow that the spears were difficult to slide through. Since the upper cross slats are not complete circles, that does give the benefit that for longer weapons that would hit the ceiling if dropped in straight down, one can insert at an angle, then push it back up to straight to tight. On the flip side, the lack of notches or more jointed assembly does grant the flexibility mentioned above to adjust to the types of swords or weapons you plan on storing. There are ways though to keep that and still have some more screwless mechanical joinery as opposed to just screw bolts. The best feature is that this stand is very narrow in terms of front-to-back depth, and relatively short and compact, yet it handles multiple 7' or 8' long weapons without any instability or jiggling. The arc designs of the side slats also are relatively attractive.Overall, a very good, compact sword stand that can also handle long weapons. Docked one point due to the crude assembly joinery.

This is pretty lackluster for $65. I didn't pay $65 for it but I feel it's my responsibility to consider the sale price. I appreciate the effort that went into producing it. You're not going to pay 65 dollars to a master woodcrafter and get something incredible for your money. BUT. It's pretty cheap on the wood used here or how it's constructed because it seems awfully flimsy. Which I'm not particularly against mind you, but I must point it out.I could see $25 for it. And it's really more of a Katana piece as it states, and not so much for other swords. Although I am displaying other sword styles on it. 6 different styles, actually. Ultimately I'm fine with it. I just wouldn't pay 65 dollars for it. But then, 65 dollars is not what it used to be so maybe it's worth it, now. But, not everything went through the roof on prices, and $65 still feels like alot to me, so it probably does to you, too.
