Bought this case to custom fit an endoscope inspection camera, since the original case that it came with was soft, flimsy, and does not have enough room for extra camera and accessories.I love that this case is dustproof, waterproof, and lockable, the customizable foam insert cuts easily with a utility knife, and can be purchased separately if you decides to use it for something else in the future, the silicone rubber handle is very comfortable to hold in your hand, and the two-stage latch is not necessary but adds a great touch.

First off, I purchased this "used" through Amazon Wholesale for a fraction of the price. Having the box in hands, I can now say that the "new" prices would have still been a good value.Pelicans cases are the good standard. I would say that this is somewhere between the Vault series and the Storm series. This is a polyurethane box, which is much better than polyethylene. The design of the box itself could use a couple more ribs on the outside for structural support; only time will tell if it can withstand my abuse. The button release on the latch is usually found on higher quality cases and the pressure valve is nice; not every case at this price point has these features.The pluck foam separates quite nicely by hand after you score the face with a razor blade. Since the box interior are almost completely rectangular, replacement foam pieces could be easy purchase and fitted to it. Compare that with some pelicans with rounded corners. Note that the top foam piece is glued to the top.

This is the second time a I have purchased a Lykus case. This one is a little larger that the last one as I had some more delicate items to carry around. The quality of these cases is better than some of the others for sale at a similar price.Something to watch is that Lykus lists all the internal sizes for its case on their listing. A buyer should read these closely and then allow for the padding that goes around the edge of the case, you do not want a case that is too small, but nor do you want one that is too big. My estimate is that the base is 1cm foam and the top 2.5 cm of foam (the small amount of compression you get when closing the case holds the items in place). Online they also have a video explaining how to install the foam, this is worth watching so that you understand how the foam works. It is on YouTube and called "Lykus Waterproof Hard Case Foam Plucking Demo"
