The question is not whether or not these blades work in the DSD180Z or XDS01Z (same tool, canadian vs. usa version), it's that they are the necessary drywall blade refills for the drywall saw. They are not made by any competitor, and they do work and do a good job, albeit they wear down somewhat quickly. The magic of these particular blades it that they can work backward or forward (momentarily, not continuously) and they have graduations on the sides to set the depth in the tool. They are well made, but costly. If you are using these costly blades in your costly tool, then you have found the matched set. They do make a similar blade for cutting thin wood also, and some straight blades (almost like an x-acto) for cutting other light fare. These are not yet made by any competitors, since the blades are unique to the drywall saw. They work, just expect to always need to keep a couple on-hand. These are also sold in packs of 10 where the price drops from around 17$CAN per blade to about 12.50$CAN per blade.

Die Messer passen natürlich perfekt in die Maschine, sind aber leider nicht sehr stabil. Wenn man die Schnittlänge nicht perfekt einstellt oder einen Nagel trifft, brechen die Messer sehr schnell. Ein teurer Spaß!

When I first saw the drywall cutter tool, I thought it was really stupid. Ended up buying one for a renovation we're doing on a 9500 sq ft house. They save hundreds of hours on a job this size compared to watching electricians cut pathways for wires with oscillating tools (plus much quieter). We have dozens of guys on this site, and the majority of them are buying these now - or their bosses are buying them to speed things up. These blades are great in that they cut forward, backward and plunge cut.
