In Kombination mit passenden Adaptern und Zapfen ist der 244 Friktionsarm äußerst vielseitig an einem Stativ oder einer Klemme einsetzbar und sehr solide. Das Modell mit dem Drehrad überzeugt mehr als Modelle mit Hebel. Festgezogen hält der Arm so fest, wie man das von einer einzelnen Verbindung eben erwarten kann. Mein Prädikat ist hier "kind of magic".

Super Teil, flexibel und stabil. gefällt mir persönlich deutlich besser als die Variante mit Hebelarm,. die ich zuvor ausprobiert hatte. Ist einfacher im Handling, hält trotzdem bombenfest. Deutlich besser als die Nachbauten. Hier nicht sparen!

Per chi non abbia ancora mai maneggiato gli originali magic arm Manfrotto, questo è uno degli strumenti più utili e versatili mai inventati ( persino nello spazio sulle stazioni spaziali viene utilizzato dagli astronauti, e sapendo quanto sia critico il peso del carico sulle missioni spaziali il fatto che se li portino dietro nonostante siano parecchio pesanti, ne dimostra l'assoluta utilità ed affidabilità )Ne porto sempre con me almeno un paio sul set. Ripiegati occupano poco spazio. Dureranno una vita.L'acquisto in questione è stato sereno, senza il minimo problema. Consiglio, in abbinamento l'acquisto di un paio di 035 Super Clamp che con il magic arm diventano un sistema di fissaggio universale incredibilmente versatile.For those who have never handled the original Manfrotto magic arms before, this is one of the most useful and versatile tools ever invented (even in space on space stations, it's used by astronauts, and considering how critical cargo weight is on space missions, the fact that they bring them despite being quite heavy demonstrates their absolute usefulness and reliability).I always carry at least a couple of them on set. Once folded they take little room. They will last a lifetime.This particular amazon purchase was smooth, without the slightest problem. I recommend pairing the magic arm with the purchase of a couple of 035 Super Clamps, to assembly an incredibly versatile universal mounting or support system.

The Manfrotto Friction Arm is one of those items that until you try one, you never know just how wonderful this gadget is. As a note it is essential to add a Manfrotto Super Clamp into the shopping basket, as the Friction Arm is useless without one.Essentially there are two ball type joints and a pivoting arm. When you unscrew the main control knob, all the joints move under friction. Simply adjust as required and then tighten the knob and all the joints lock beautifully. I do not understand how the magic and sorcery work, but my goodness it's absolutely fabulous.These arms are used by virtually every photographic studio worldwide to hold lights, cameras, soft boxes and well anything that needs to be held. I use them for ham radios, the Icom IC-705 and IC-905, both of which have tripod bushes and a Manfrotto camera bracket works beautifully. This means I have stacked radios flying above the desk and therefore not taking-up desk space.The Friction Arms are considerably more useful than the standard arm, as adjustment of any part is more easily managed. The Friction Arm is sturdy and will probably last a lifetime. I will be ordering more in the future as these are fantastically useful.Wonderful stuff!

There's a saying 'that you get what you pay for' and this has rarely been more true than this piece of sublime equipment. Manfrotto have been one of the prime choices for professional photographers for many years, for their various arms, brackets and tripods, within both professional circles and keen prosumer photographers. They don't always get it right, particularly with some poor budget products, which they really should have never made, but their professional kit is exemplary.This friction arm, along with their ubiquitous Super Clamp, is of such stuff. What seems like a simplistic bit of kit transpires to be more than the sum of the parts. What seems to be a crude large knob that tightens one axis of two arms, is in fact a design so clever that it controls the main articulating arms, plus both ball joints, plus the swivel ends of those joints, through insanely clever linkages.Not only does this make a complex series of joints ridiculously easy to set-up and adjust, but the quality of the materials and manufacture make this something that you would only part with through your cold dead fingers.Now here's the thing, it can hold all sorts of things. Still cameras, Video cameras. Lights, Audio Field Recorders, Ham Radios (e.g. Icom IC-705) and the list goes on.This gadget (and I have quite a lot of Manfrotto kit) is one of the very best investments I have ever made and whilst a Friction Arm with Camera Bracket and Super Clamp might not seem to be the most exciting items, when you put them into action, you will know you have made one of life's better decisions.Top notch, First Class!!!

Bei dem Magic Arm bewegt sich auch bei der schwersten Spiegelreflexkamera nichts. Man sollte nur aufpassen wo man ihn befestigt, manche Oberflächen kann es schnell mal beschädigen.

Top Produkt, Manfrotto eben. Wer wirklich ein stabiles Stativ zum anklemmen sucht wird hier fündig. Ja, es ist teuer, aber all der halb so teure Chinaschrott aus dem Bereich ist einfach nicht zu gebrauchen.

Compré el brazo para poder hacer fotos en angulos raros y con poca luz. Tuvé que comprar tambien la pinza (Manfrotto Superclamp). Lo utilizo bastante hasta para las luces cuando hago fotos. El brazo es regulable en 3 diferentes partes y una vez posicionado, giras la ruleta y se queda tal cual !! impresionado por el facil uso !!Mas que recomendable.

ワングリップで固定できるのはとても便利です。NikonD７５０やD５３００で使用してます。頑丈そうな作りで、三脚ではとれない、高所からの撮影もできるし、これは、一生もののアイテムです。値段は高いですが、気に入りました。

The Manfrotto 244 Variable Friction Magic Arm comes close to being a jack of all trades: umbrella bracket, hair light, back light, camera mount, mic stand, monitor/iPad mount, etc. I mainly use it with a Super Clamp, allowing it to be securely attached almost anywhere. The ends are male light stand tips and fit standard 5/8" female light stand sockets. It makes an excellent light stand when used with the .The friction wheel controls arm and ball joint tension simultaneously. So you always need two hands for adjustment: one hand on your gear to keep it from flopping and the other to control the wheel. With moderate fiction, movements are smooth but, once locked down, it holds a medium sized DSLR or light head without budging.I tried a friend's Magic Arm with the cam-lever. Same excellent build quality but the lever is more difficult to adjust than a friction wheel. You need to really muscle it too! However, I was surprised my Magic Arm arrived without the wheel installed. Probably Manfrotto wanted to reduce bulk and use a smaller box. No biggie, just spin the wheel on and you're golden. No assembly instructions provided or needed.I didn't find the camera bracket terribly useful and should have bought the Magic Arm without the bracket. I use a ball head (Sunwayfoto) to mount LED lights, mics or cameras: the Magic Arm has a little settle with heavy loads and a ball head allows fine adjustments after lockdown. To attach a ball head, screw a 1/4 to 3/8" male stud adapter, e.g., into the arm's baby stud and screw the head on it. You could also mount the ball head directly on the bracket if you don't mind the extra weight and bulk.The Magic Arm is well designed, built like a bazooka and my most useful Super Clamp accessory. I'm often in cramped quarters and it works where light stands and tripods dare not tread.

Tolles Produkt, mechanisch eine reife Leistung. Habe ich viel zu spät in meinem Berufsleben als Kamera- und Setmensch ausprobiert. Wollte erst nicht, wegen dem hohen Preis - aber es kann das, was es soll perfekt! (bisherige Belastung ca. 3,5 Kg / 2mal pro Woche)
