This 5-piece matcha set has been a delightful addition to my tea routine. The ceramic bowl is sturdy and well-crafted, providing an authentic feel to the preparation process. The bamboo whisk and scoop are of good quality, making it easy to achieve a smooth, frothy matcha. The set contains mixing bowl, whisk holder, scoop, scoop holder and bamboo whisk (in a plastic container). The bowl and the whisk holder are made of good quality glazed ceramic in lovely green mélange to match the matcha colour - they're easy to clean, the finish is of good quality - even on the bottom and the bowl spout doesn't drip at all. The dimensions stated in the listing are correct and the bowl volume is sufficient for the preparation of two (up to three) cups of matcha tea and even more cups of matcha for matcha latte. The scoop is of good size (there seems to be a thin lacquer layer, but it could be just very finely sanded - I'm not completely sure) and it's very useful for the transfer of the fine dust that the matcha actually is. The whisk is of good quality too, with delicate curled whiskers making up foam in no time, no bitter taste or weird notes. However there are no instructions and there are things you need to do before you use the whisker, for example (soak it in warm water, wash it with water only afterwards and so on), which would've been nice. The whisker shape is going to change a bit (as I've shown in the photos), which is completely normal and at a certain point it's going to require replacement - keep this in mind; also - try to keep it off the bottom of the bowl during the whisking process in order to preserve it and extend its longevity. Overall - really lovely set - great for matcha preparation and also - visually pleasing too.
