Mikasa is great, but Amazon is not the best way to get it. You really can't toss fine china in a cardboard box, throw in loosely a few pieces of bubble wrap, and expect it all to arrive safely. I returned the broken items for refund but was given only partial credit. I suppose I was supposed to find a way to keep broken pottery from breaking into even smaller pieces somehow?

Perfect size for so many things besides pasta! I use as small vegetable and/or fruit bowl a lot more often than pasta.

i love these pieces! i fell in love with the Mikasa swirl design because it's white and will stand the test of time as my decor changes, but the swirl has soooo much character. it has a great hand thrown pottery feel while having smooth surface where your food is, so they wipe clean very easily. the design also makes for a great grip! i couldn't be happier with all the Mikasa swirl pieces i have:-)
