Ich habe mir den Außenboarder für meinen Cat und als Akku den Bronson Outdoor MB 55 besorgt. In Schweden in den Schären ausgiebig getestet und?: optimal! Ich komme locker 10km ohne Segel vorwärts, das war meine Anforderung für Engstellen. Der MinnKota RT40 ist gut verarbeitet und funktioniert tadellos. Kaufempfehlung!

I bought the identical Riptide from Walmart in 2002 and it is still going strong. I put it on q 14 ft Alumacraft Jon boat and it worked great, 4 mph. I bought a 22 1/2 deck boat and put it on that boat, it works great there too. I bought a 50 Lb. MK Endura Max thinking I would go faster. Wrong, I could only go 3.6. So I bought a Newport Vessels 62 Lb thrust thinking surely I would go faster. Wrong again, 3.8 mph, plus both of those motors were heavier and made my battery life shorter by pulling 50-60 amps. So, I bought this MK Riptide 40 from Amazon, 18 lbs, (weight) pulls 40 amps meaning longer battery life and goes faster. Best little trolling motor I have ever had. Plenty of thrust for a 14 ft Jon that weighs less than 750 lbs. I highly recommend this little gem. I heard they (MK) are going to quit making it, I might buy another for future use.

The other reviews are correct, it's a 30"shaft. Not sure why they haven't edited that part yet. Beyond that, this is a solid deal. I was looking for a Minn Kota saltwater model with a 30" shaft, so this was perfect. I've had mine in the ocean twice now. It pushes my 13' canoe no problem. The highest speed is pretty impressive. The low speeds are quiet and perfect for creeping along banks. Less paddling means more fishing!

False description! Shows 36" shaft length here on amazon but the actual box shows 30 inch shaft length!.
