Decent quality and build.This portable hot knife heats quickly (about 10 seconds) and has a few different hot-knife attachments.Comes with an enclosed carry case to store the unit, single battery, charger, and cutting knives.We don’t know how to obtain a replacement battery should this one fail or gets lost.

works great. nice it doesn't have a cord. battery charges fast, lasts long. nice clean cuts, seals edge. gets really hot. good price. easy to use. need glass or metal to cut on.

Either the battery or the charger failed in 1 month after buying. The battery isn't charging anymore.

We've been using this in the warehouse for the past couple of weeks, and it works excellently. The sewers especially like that they're not bound to a cord & extension cords (more than are already back there!) and ease of operation. It powers through the various types of polyester fabrics that we have by the pallet-load back there and melts the edges to prevent fraying (not every fabric we have frays, but at least 1/2 of them do if the cut edges aren't finished somehow). I will say that there's a sweet-spot cutting speed so that you don't "overmelt" the material (causing beading of melted media on the edge), but once they got it down, they're like pros with it now. So much better than them having to cut the fabric with a saw / rolling knife, then serge the ends, taking all that time just to make straps for bags whose ends aren't seen by the customer anyway. This has sped up their production and I can't believe we didn't think of this earlier. Works like a charm!

I used to cut rope the old way, I’d wrap it in electrical tape, cut it, then melt it with a lighter or torch, try to start a fire and then, clean all the mess up. Using this hot knife is soooo much better!!! I can just turn it on, get it hot and push the rope over the cutter and it’s done. No frays, no unwinding and no mess.
