I bought this to power my R5C rig. It works perfectly except when powering the camera in video mode through the dummy battery. In this case a low power warning flashed up and the camera shuts down. The R5 C apparently needs a special variant of the canon dummy battery, designated DR-E6C. You can power the camera just fine if your battery has a USC C output (luckily mine does). However there is a workaround for the dummy battery that at least works for me. Boot the camera into photo mode from the dummy battery power source and leave it running for a few minutes, then switch to video - for me this reliably allows shooting in Canon Raw LT at 8k from the dummy battery supplied.EDIT: No need to boot into photo mode first - v-mount and dummy batter just needs to be in the camera and powered on for around a minute before powering up the camera.

One of the tensioning bolts broke within three months of use but after a short conversation with the sellers we came to an agreement were they would send me a replacement part!

For the price this V-Mount battery plate is a must buy. It has a very convenient locking mechanism that lets you position the plate in various angle on your shoulder rig, giving you an array of combinations that are very handy. I kept my Blackmagic 6K pro on for a full day of shooting with a single V-Mount battery through the d-tap exit of the plate (but that depends on the battery capacity), while keeping my Ninja V monitor on all the time through the 12V output. With the usb plugs I could also charge my phone and my Ronin S.The build quality is very good, the plate is light but solid and feels premium. The battery lock mechanism seems to work fine. A plus, the battery plate comes with many cables to power different gear, and with a Canon dummy battery too. Hard to beat for the price.

Der Kleinkunstbereich in der Gesellschaft wird stetig größer, YouTube, Insta und TicToc gehen durch die Decke. Anders kann man sich den Siegeszug von Marken wie Smallrig und Tilta nicht erklären. Hier bei dieser V-Mount Baseplate handelt es sich um ein Produkt der bekannten Marke Moman. Meine Entscheidung war finazieller Natur, ich brauchte eine Baseplate, die auch auf meinem Schulter Rig befestigen konnte, eine mit Stromverteiler Funktion, da ich nicht nur über DTap gehen wollte sondern z.T. auch 5V USB ausreicht, griff ich zu dieser Version.Als Amazon, schnell wie immer lieferte, fiel mir zu erst eins auf: Verarbeitung ist wirklich nicht die Beste, relativ dünnes Plastik als Gehäuse, und recht billig wirkende Metallteile. Aber gut dachte ich mir, ich will filmen und keinen Fancy-Rig Wettbewerb gewinnen. Also alles verbaut, verkabelt etc. Und siehe an, es funktioniert, Strom wird stabil weitergeleitet und ich sehe wenig bedarf aktuell auf ein teureres Modell umzusteigen.Aber es gibt auch bewusste Kritikpunkte, die mich zu einer 3-Sterne Rezension bewegten, besonders die Stabilität fiel mir negativ auf, mit einem schweren V-Mount, der bei mir leider unten befestigt ist, ist das befestigen der Klemmen so unsicher, dass ich noch Gummibänder extra drum machte um mehr Stabilität zu bekommen. Aber mit wenig Aufwand bekommt man hier eine V-Mount Plate, die technisch sehr sauber läuft. Dass ist, wie ich gelesen habe, auch nicht selbst verständlich.

cumple con su fucion tiene buenos materiales un porfolio de opciones pero hay algo que si me quejo y por eso lo he devuelto y es el pack que tiene en los cables ya que trae varios cables entre ellos la dumy batery que te biene con la opcion de sony y canon , pues tendria que aver otro pack para elejir para la gente que tiene panasonic, de lo demas esta todo genial
