I have used other brand video Panheads and want to find an all-around Panheads for my digital/video camera that fits on a carbon fiber tripod for landscape photography. I found this online and it is a perfect fit for my needs the price is a lot less expensive than a name brand. The material, quality and functionality of this 3-way pan/tilt head are beyond my expectations. I have owned many NEEWER products and am very satisfied with them.

TL;DR - As a whole this tripod head is built well, versatile, and offers a lot of utility; however, the placement of some critical components detracts from the overall experience.DISCLAIMER - This review sample was provided to me free of charge. The opinions expressed are solely my own with no input from either manufacturer or Amazon.INITIAL IMPRESSIONS & USAGEI have been a long time consumer of Neewer products. They sit nicely in that nice intersection of quality and value (leaning more towards value in most cases). But as of late their offerings have definitely been improving and this head certainly leans more towards quality.So there's a lot to like about this tripod head. The construction is mostly metal, it's well machined, feels very solid, and the moving elements are well damped. The knurling on the knobs is a nice touch and makes the whole unit feel more premium; however, the longer plastic handles -- while conveniently extendable -- do not feel particularly good and suffer from a degree of play that betrays the fact that a degree of cost cutting had to be implemented.In use though, it is near perfect, except for one glaring design oversight, which for me is an absolute deal breaker. The relatively small lever that controls the ball-head tension -- as seen in the last photo -- is a nightmare to adjust because of it's close proximity to the lower handle. If only the placement were on the opposite side or if instead of a lever it had just been a small knurled knob, this issue could have been avoided, but alas. The lever itself can be pulled out to adjust the positioning of the grip, but I still found it tiresome to access.With all that said, I still think it's a very solid product, and while my OCD prevents me from using this as a daily driver, I'd still encourage someone looking for a 3-way head to give this a try at the very least. It has a lot of merits including the price and if you can live with the minor quibble I previously stated, then you'll be left with a very well built, reliable piece of kit.

I've had good results from NEEWER gear in the past, and I'm generally happy to rely on it based on past experience. This P/T head is no exception I was pleased to find, with a bit of practice I found it was straightforward to get a nice smooth movement with it, slow and steady. It worked great for my DSLR, and feels absolutely well-made.
