My review of the Neewer Tripod Adapter for Starlink Mini, and it has been an excellent addition to my setup. The build quality is solid—made from aluminum, it feels durable yet lightweight. The 1/4”-16 to 3/8”-16 thread conversion works perfectly, allowing me to mount my Starlink Mini securely on a standard tripod without any issues.The threading is precise, and installation was straightforward—just screw it onto the tripod, attach the Starlink Mini, and it’s good to go. There’s no wobbling or looseness, which is crucial for maintaining a stable connection.Overall, this adapter is a great solution for anyone looking to mount their Starlink Mini on a tripod, whether for portability, temporary setups, or travel. ライブ配信の利用で導入したStarlink miniを三脚に取り付けて利用するため、NEEWERのアダプタを選定しました。純正のパイプアダプターマウントにしっかり組み付けられ、三脚に取り付けて運用できました。しっかりアルミで作られており、外見は覆われているので、強度の不安さはありません。1/4あるいは3/8インチに対応します。

This a great item. It is made solidly of aluminum, not molded or 3d printed plastic. It has nut inserts for both 3/8 and 1/4 inch.

The original Starlink Mini pipe bracket features anti-rotation flats inside the mounting hole designed to prevent rotation of the inserted tube. However, these flats do not precisely match the shape and spacing of the NEEWER tripod adapter, resulting in an imperfect fit. Additionally, the diameter of the NEEWER adapter is smaller than the bracket’s inner diameter, causing slight play or looseness. Despite this, if the adapter is tightened securely using the built-in thumb screw with the plastic knob, the connection remains generally stable under normal conditions.The NEEWER tripod adapter includes a 1/4”-16 to 3/8”-16 metal thread insert, which can only be fully screwed in from one side. When inserted from the side bearing the “NEEWER” logo, the insert does not sit flush and protrudes by approximately 0.75–1 mm. This detail is important because the thumb screw on the Starlink Mini pipe bracket can only be effectively tightened—without excessive force or component damage—when the adapter’s “NEEWER” logo faces outward. Reversing the adapter may result in poor alignment or incomplete tightening.Because the thread insert does not sit flush when installed from the “NEEWER” side, the quick release plate (Schnellwechselplatte) cannot be fully tightened against the bracket surface. Consequently, the rubber contact surfaces of the plate do not fully engage, causing instability, wobbling, and potential misalignment.The issue was resolved using a titanium-coated step cone drill bit (4mm to 12mm). The 8mm step ensured precise centering of the drill bit in the adapter’s hole, preventing wobbling during drilling. The 10mm step then created the exact recess required for the metal thread insert to sit flush with the adapter surface. Thanks to this controlled and accurate drilling, the quick release plate now fits perfectly, the connection is solid, and the entire system functions flawlessly.Nevertheless, considering the adjustments required, the product does not justify its €20 price tag straight out of the box.
