Love these. They are for an aquarium filter pre-filter. Rinse them once in a while to clean and mains excellent water flow to your tank.

I love the OASE canister filter because of the easily removable pre-filter. These foam sponges are direct replacments for the original ones. Because of the higher particulate filtering, these tend to clog up quickly (~4 - 6 weeks) and should be cleaned. If you wait too long, they tend to pucker and compress. That's what happened to me and once compressed they don't go back to the usual shape.Lesson learned, but fortunately the replacements are readily available.

Definitely the right ppi (fine) for my fish-only saltwater setup. All the other grades (30-40-50 ppi) allow too much fine matter to pass. I want the pre-filter to catch the muck in this filter. It's easy to access!
