Ich kann hier nur 4. Sterne geben, da das Gerät nicht das tut, wofür ich es gekauft habe.Ich habe meinen 4k Gaming Monitor smart gemacht und diverse Geräte angeschlossen.Der Monitor verfügt über wenig bis keine Audioausgänge und AV Receiver konnte ich nur über 3.5er Anschluss verbinden. Über Bluetooth hatte ich bisher den Fire TV Stick mit dem AV Receiver verbunden, weil das Gerät keinen HDMI Anschluss besitzt.HD Kabel Receiver über Cinch verbunden.Mein Monitor hat natürlich auch nur diese Behelfslautsprecher, die jeder TV auch verbaut hat.Also der Sound ist natürlich unter allen Ansprüchen!Kennt man ja, oder?Ich also versucht den Kabel Receiver, optisch an den 5.1 Receiver anzuschließen.Pustekuchen, Dolby Digital an und nur noch schreckliches Gekratze!Also kaufe ich den OREI 4K um das zu ändern und dachte mir, gleich den Fire TV Stick mit dran.Leider genau das selbe Problem wieder, HD Kabelreceiver optisch jetzt über den OREI 4K verbunden und wieder dieses schreckliche Geräusch sobald Dolby in's Spiel kommt.Also Rolle rückwärts und alles per Cinch verbunden, Sound läuft aber eben kein Dolby möglich.Ärgerlich, liegt aber anscheinend auch an meinem 5.1 AV Receiver.Dann habe ich den HD Fire TV Stick 3. Gen optisch verbunden, um klanglich mehr heraus zu holen.Es werden im Menü des Sticks jegliche Dolby Formate als nutzbar angezeigt, aber nur über PCM Einstellung nutzbar.Ansonsten kehrt das fürchterliche Geräusch zurück, sollte ich einen Film streamen und z.B.: Dolby Digital wählen.Mein alter AV-R war zugegeben eben nichts besonderes und verweigert sich diversen Tonformaten!🤐Aber ganz ehrlich, der Klang hat sich trotzdem massiv verbessert!Der Fire Stick ist jetzt via OREI 4K optisch und mit der Einstellung PCM an den 5.1 AV Receiver angeschlossen.Um Klassen besser als Bluetooth, soviel sei gesagt!Kino Atmosphäre ist mit Abstrichen durchaus klanglich vernehmbar und ein Hauch von Surround weht durch mein Zimmerchen!😉Auch vorher über Monitor mit 3.5 auf Cinch Richtung AV Receiver, war echt mies von der Qualität her.Also bin ich zur Hälfte sehr Zufrieden mit dem OREI 4K und denke der Anschluss des Laptops wird ähnlich gute Ergebnisse bringen.⚠️Schade das der Kabelreceiver sich nicht klanglich aufwerten lässt!Denn das war das Hauptkriterium, um den OREI 4K zu erwerben.Deshalb vergebe ich nur 4. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ und weil der OREI 4K keinen Aus-Schalter besitzt.⚠️Das finde ich nicht mehr Zeitgemäß und Strom lässt sich so auch nicht sparen!Das mögen nur Cent Beträge sein, doch auch der Fire TV Stick besitzt nur einen Ruhemodus und lässt sich nicht ausschalten.Stecker ziehen ist mehr als unpraktisch und ganz ehrlich völlig aus der Zeit gefallen!!!Ich versuche Umweltbewusst zu leben und ich finde es fängt schon im kleinen an. 🧐Fazit:Wenn der OREI 4K eine funktionierende Verbindung herstellt, dann ist eine spürbare Verbesserung zu erzielen! Preislich etwas zu teuer und ohne Aus-Schalter unpraktisch in der Handhabung. Es ist kein technischer Aufwand, einen Schalter zu verbauen!Edit 19.12.2023Habe technisch nochmal aufgerüstet und mir eine Logitech Z906 5.1 Anlage gegönnt.Fire Stick HD mit dem Extractor verbunden und es funktioniert hervorragend!Keinerlei Probleme bei Anschluss und Durchleitung diverser Dolby Formate.Das Gerät überzeugt nun mit hervorragender Klang Qualität und von mir Daumen hoch dafür! 👍👍👍Genau da kann der Extractor nun wirklich punkten und kann vorbehaltlos empfohlen werden.Ich gehe davon aus das die gleiche Qualität bei Verbindung über meinen Laptop erreicht wird.Bei Problemen ergänze ich natürlich meine Rezension. 😉Nachtrag:Verbindung Laptop via OREI in AV-R klappt fantastisch!👍👍👍Auch da spielt die gute Hardware ihre Stärken sehr gut aus.Ein toller Klang und es gibt keinerlei Abbrüche oder spürbare Latenzen! 👍Leider ist es mir schleierhaft, warum es nicht mit meinem HD-Kabelreceiver harmoniert.Dolby 2.0 an und nichts geht mehr!Ohrenbetäubender Lärm entsteht sofort und man muss sofort handeln, sonst befürchte ich Schäden am AV-R.Bin für Tipps und Lösungsansätze wirklich dankbar!🥴

I bought this as I was recommended by a colleague to get Orei for audio extracting. When I got the item it looked ok but it just doesn't work. The audio extracts ok but the picture goes crazy each time I change and input. The device starts doing some refresh or re-connect attempt which causes the screen to go black then back to picture and black and back to picture and black etc. finally after 3 -4 times of this, it "stabilizes" until the next channel is set at which point its all over again...... Anyhow a waste of my time, money and I want a refund. peace out.

Hdmi audio extractor funktioniert super mit meiner Anlage, eine klare Empfehlung!

Ik heb het product gebruikt voor een Apple TV om het geluid naar actief analoge boxen te krijgen. Het geluid is goed, en het product ondersteund SEC HDMI in combinatie met TV. Ik raad dit product aan.

I hate HDMI. This digital format is supposed to make our life easier but in reality it just protects movie and music distributors for copyrights. The problem is that often newer HDMI versions are not totally backward compatible. About 10 years ago I purchased a top of the line Panasonic 65" HD Plasma TV, one of the last plasma TV. Still today this TV is giving extraordinary color images and nice contrast ratio. I had also purchased, about 5 years earlier, a top of the line Denon receiver that had HDMI support ; but its HDMI was not compatible with the newer Panasonic TV HDMI ports; I resorted to use the TV as the HDMI switcher and all worked well until this year when I changed my HD Apple TV to a newer 4K Apple TV. Now the movies were not playing in Dolby 5.1 but only in the inferior Dolby Pro Logic II format. No matter what I tried, I could not have the movies play Dolby 5.1. But my Denon is capable of even higher formats such as Dolby TrueHD, EX and most flavors of DTS surround.This is why I had to buy this Orei extractor that enabled at least Dolby HD AC3 to play 5.1 true channels on my Denon. It does not provide the best Dolby Digital format that my Denon can decode but at least, until I change my receiver and TV, I will get a good enough quality out of my Apple TV 4K.The Orei extractor just worked perfectly out of the box. This extractor is very small but housed in a metal box and it feels solid. Good value for the money. Hoping it will last a few years.

A mi me sirvió muy bien porque me eliminó por completo el ruido que hace Netflix y otros servicios cuando pones Dolby 5.1. Se escucha muy bien y sin problemas, además cuando apagas los aparatos no deja pasar la interferencia que normalmente se oye cuando apagas la señal.

This extractor works perfectly at 4K at 60Hz. I use this with a GTX1650 connected to a 4K TV and an old Denon receiver. I chose this because for anyone that has tried to use 2 HDMI out ports on a video card and plugging one into a receiver, you will have to either duplicate the phantom screen or extend to a phantom screen. Either case still requires the video card to use more gpu resoources. Not great for playing games or playing back 4k video.Setting the EDID at 2ch or 5.1 only shows Stereo available on the computer. EDID at 7.1 will show 8 channels available. Out 1 will depend on the capability of the TV and what it reports back on EDID to the source. Most TV are only Stereo, so EDID on Out 1 will be Stereo. Out 2 will be the Audio Only HDMI out port and will be what the receiver reports back on EDID to the source. So 5.1 receiver will report 6 channels, and 7.1 receiver will report 8 channels, etc.A pro I noticed is that all audio out ports will output sound simultaneously. There is no way to select or turn on and off sound output ports. So the HDMI to TV, Optical, Audio Only HDMI and 3.5mm will all play sound. For me it is no big deal to just mute the TV if I want to use another sound playback device.A con I noticed is that the Optical out port will only send Stereo PCM sound. Bitstreaming did not work for me, and I was not able to test Dolby or DTS encoded file sources. Not sure if it was my setup that was not correct or the extractor not able to do it. So if I am using Optical I have to downmix 5.1 and 7.1 to Stereo in order to get audio.Overall I still think this is the best extractor on the market. Plug and play and very easy to use. Would recommend.
