I heard from a friend who caught some legal size Pacific Halibut (southern California) using this lure from shore. I decided to give it a try and it casts farely decently. Due to its weight it carried itself out on my 20 pound braid backing to 15 pound fluorocarbon. I haven't caught anything the two times I tested it, but it does reel in nicely and reeling in slow with a jerk every so often I could feel it swimming consistently. Going to keep trying this out on my trips and will hope for another legal for the year.

It's quite solidly put together. The glow in the dark does work, though it's not going to blow you away with how bright it is. Booms seem to be of a decent quality, though nothing special. Diving action works very well, and the swimming action is also surprisingly life like
