These are great diodes, high current, fast switching, and little voltage loss (around a half volt). I'm using these diodes as part of my light switch wiring. I'm upgrading all of the wiring in my 1947 Crosley Sedan. There's a pullout headlight switch and a floor mounted beam selector (High and Low). The 4-position pullout switch is wired for Off, Park, Beam, and Fog. In Fog mode the Beams becomes disconnected, so the diode sends Fog voltage to the Low Beams, but it blocks voltage from backing into the other direction, thus allowing the Fogs to turn off when in Beam mode. The half-volt loss also puts a slight dimming toward the Low Beams during Fog mode for better balance between the two light types. This Crosley uses a 6 volt Positive Ground system, so these diodes are perfect in that voltage and current range. This application requires two diodes to be wired in parallel for a full 40 amp blocking protection. It's great to know there's an easy solution for this application! Thanks!
