I am not a big oil pastel artist I use mostly acrylic and gouache, inks etc . I purchased these and now see how wonderful oil pastels are ! These sets are magnificent . They are like large tubes of lipstick with such a soft consistency and amazing strong pigmentation . The range of colours are impressive and really just scream at you to make art !! I highly recommend as an artist to try these , you won’t regret it ! They are presented beautifully too . The photo shows both Set A and Set B . The middle show one set blended with white .

So happy with these. I bought a set for my brother's birthday and when I saw them, I immediately ordered a set for myself. They come in a beautiful box and each oil stick is in its own plastic tube. The colours are rich and bright, and the sticks themselves are beautifully creamy and easily blended. Love them.

Pour le prix et la quantité de 12 bâtonnes, ça vaut vraiment le coût, comparer au Sennelier qui sont au coût de 17$ chacun alors les Haiya vous coûte 5$ chacun! Ils sont les dupes des Sennelier avec les mêmes couleurs, par contre le numéro peuvent être parfois différents!Ils font grandement mon affaire pour peindre de grandes surface sans démarcation! Je suis ravie et je vais certainement acheter l’autre ensemble pour compléter mon ensemble avec ma vingtaine de gros bâtonnets Sennelier!

Wow, ich hatte noch nie so gute Farben! Und fühle mich gar nicht so richtig qualifiziert, diese so zu bewerten, wie sie es verdient haben, obwohl ich durchaus etwas Erfahrung mit Künstlerbedarf habe.Das sind wirklich Premium-Künstlerfarben, das macht der Preis ja schon sichtbar. Der ist happig, sicher. Aber gute Künstler-Farben sind leider sehr teuer.Die Stifte kommen in einer netten Box daher und sind alle nochmal extra in Plastikröhren verpackt. Das schützt sie vor Bruch und davor, dass eine Farbe durch die anderen Farben nicht verschmiert wird.Die Ölpastellkreiden fühlen sich erstmal ähnlich an wie Ölkreiden, nur weicher. Beim Malen haben sie den typischen Effekt von Pastellkreide, nur ohne den Staub.Die Stifte fühlen sich beim Malen butterweich an, ein total schönes Gefühl. Leicht lassen sie sich verwischen und haben gegenüber von Pastellkreide den Vorteil, dass man wegen dem fehlenden Farbstaub nicht so auf aufpassen muss. Die Farbe lässt sich auch ganz leicht mit einem Tuch von den Fingern wischen, was ich einen großen Vorteil gegenüber der Pastellkreide empfinde.Auf rauem, körnigem Papier ist der Abrieb natürlich viel größer. Bei der kleinen Sonne, auf dem glatten Skizzenpapier musste ich nur einen gelben Kreis malen und konnte den Inhalt dann leicht mit der Farbe vom Rand ausfüllen.Je nachdem wie fest bzw oft man mit dem Finger wischt, bleibt die Farbe eher dick wie Ölkreide oder wird weich wie Pastellkreide. Das könnt Ihr gut an meinem großen Bild erkennen.In meinen Augen wurde hier echt das beste von Ölkreide und das beste von Pastellkreide vereint.

QUALITY: Consistent softnesss and coverage and free of oil on the outside! I look forward to having more colors available.PACKAGING: Each pastel was individually packaged in a tube and the tubes were in a nice back cardboard board with a magnetic enclosure. Despite the care taken in packaging and presentation, the packaging didn't appeal to me because:1) one of the pastel tubes was VERY difficult to remove. Someone with arthritis may not be able to use them.2) I find it inconvenient to look for the color I want amongst all of the 12 tubes in each of the boxes and uncap it to use it. In contrast, when pastels are packaged in a box with foam cut-outs, they are readily available upon opening the box. Perhaps there's a good reason why PR chose to package each pastel individually in a tube that has to be opened when you want to use the color or put it away?3) Although the paper wrapper is really nice, the labeling should be clearer. There seems to be a lot of confusion about exactly WHAT the product is (i.e. oil pastels or paint sticks) because it affects whether people want the product and HOW to use it. I believe these are oil pastels and, if that's true, just label them like the Haiya oil pastels?4) Although some of the cadmium or cobalt-containing pigments may be considered safe and not require labeling, it is a courtesy to include a warning symbol on the respective pastels.Overall, I think I like them but am not sure how much I'll use them. i may revisit and perhaps upgrade my rating if I find them useful.
