I got this because it had the opening on the side, only its cut way to one side which is annoying. It leaves a gap and is difficult to open the door. The pictures in the advertisement show it centered.If you are ok with that, it does fit well on the 48in crate....

This dog crate cover fits my 36 inch crate perfectly.It has a window at the top that can be opened, this opening allows me to observe my puppy and adjust ventilationFabric-Very thick material with a waterproof coating on the inside, so far my puppy has not been able to do any damage to the cover. I purchased it in black and it shades very well when all covered and my puppy sleeps very quietly in it.-This cover has Velcro on the bottom and sides to secure it to the case well and not slide around.Water bottle nozzle-This is why I finally chose to buy it after looking at a lot of stores, it fits right in with my empty coke bottles, my puppy always knocks over the water bowls that I keep in the crate, with this drinking spout I don't need to place the bowls insde the crate and I don't have to worry about my puppy not having water for a long journey of time.Typically, with the puppy inside I have the top opening open and the front flap rolled up so the velcro doesn't fall off.
