This is as cheaply made as a tool comes. There's a hole in he tip of the point because it's made from a rolled up sheet of metal. So the cone will just fill with dirt over time. The handle is completely unfinished and not particularly smooth. But worst of all, the crossbar on top is held on by a single nail, so it rocks from side to side. This won't last 10 minutes.

This sits nicely between the first and middle fingers, enabling firm pressure to be applied by the hand. It is rather thin, however, so not able to cope properly with many bulbs, like daffodils (except miniatures) and tulips (except botanicals) for example. Ideal for small corms. The metal tip includes a depth scale, which is helpful for those who aren't 'natural' gardeners. The wood is smooth, and feels warm in the hand. A useful tool, but you'll need a thicker version as well for the larger bulbs.
