Applied some on an old laptop. Noticed the exhaust expelling more heat than before, which I'm assuming is a good thing given it was over heating before and slowing down when getting too hot or just outright shutting off on me. Now it can run continuously and stay within an acceptable range of heat. Giving 4 stars for its ease of application and the fact it came with a spreader nozzle and manual spreader. Will come back and reevaluate after sometime has passed and will see if it stand up to the heat of the laptop.

Got this paste because I noticed lately my computer was running on the warm side. Could't figure it out and I was told if the computer is old is to check the thermal paste. Well low and behold, the past was dry and not sure if it made any contact with the heat sink.I don't know where this paste comes from but that doesn't matter. It comes in a nice syringe tube and I used very little of this paste. In fact, I am very sure there's enough paste to do at least 5 more computers. The paste comes with a small spatula and though, it's not as soft as other brands, it has a consistency of peanut butter. Cleaning up only take a rag with some rubbing alcohol and there's no residue whatsoever on the heat sink. Again it spreads like peanut butter at room temperature.Though I didn't take a screenshot of the before temperature but I did do a screenshot of the after the paste was applied. Right away I can tell the computer was running much cooler and the computer case no longer feels warm to the touch. The paste functions as describes and best of all, there's enough paste left to do at least 5 more CPU's.Great paste and for the money, it works and now my computer is running much cooler temp at the core.

The internet says this paste is the top performer, and if I knew enough to perform a side-by-side comparison, I'd probably agree. Since I have not the time or money to do such a test, I'll just say that this paste performs its intended function well, and keeps my CPU running cool. It is easy to spread and it was very smooth and uniform with no lumps and no pools of silicone oil. I'd buy it again if this tube ever runs out.

I have an older PC tower sitting next to my entertainment center. I use it to stream movies from Netflix, Amazon, and other services. While it is older, it serves the purpose. Not that it matters, but I'm running Linux Mint.On Christmas day, there was some interest in live-streaming the NFL football game. No problem, I thought. I fired up the PC and started streaming it. But unfortunately, the PC shut down. Several times. That was unexpected as I'd never had trouble with it before. But not astonishing, because it had been 5 years since I had cleaned it out. About that same time, I had upgraded the processor. I probably used some thermal grease I had laying about of unknown age or origin. So, I ordered this thermal grease. When it arrived, I vacuumed and then blew out the tower. The processor heat sink fins were caked with dust. Ugh. I disassembled the fan and heat sink and blew them out. Then I cleaned off both the processor and heat sink with isopropyl alcohol. When those were ready to be reassembled, I broke out this thermal paste and read the directions. It says to use a 3mm x 3mm area of paste. That's roughly 1/8" x 1/8" of an inch, so I put a pretty good dab on the heat sink. I spread it about with the included spatula. When I mated the heat sink back to the processor, I ensured the clips were attached on both sides to apply lots of pressure between the surfaces. Results were as hoped. Live-streaming at a resolution that pegged all 4 processor cores was 35C -- at least 30C cooler than it was running before. This was measured using the k10temp processor attribute using a Linux applet, for those who are interested in such things. This thermal paste appears to work well. It was part of a thorough cleaning that resurrected my PC. I recommend and would buy this again.
