Being new to car painting, I got some massive runs on a DIY job I was doing - previously tried to skim the tops off the runs with a razor blade, which didn't do much other than create gouges, heavy sanding eventually worked, but it took *ages* especially as this was 2K paint. Had a similar problem on a different part of the vehicle so decided to give these tools a try; took about five mins to knock down most of the runs, with just a light sanding to get rid of the remainder. What an absolutely amazing invention!

I was painting the van floor when I realised that the paint was setting out with small lumps in it which were not visible in the can.I had a few square feet to go over and felt quite defeated by the idea of sanding it all by hand. In one afternoon I was able to go other the whole surface with this file and then dress it back ready to take another coat.I'm not sure how it would hold up in a concourse competition but a great time saver in this situation. Sadly I doubt it will get much use but I'm holding onto it just in case.

This is one of the most useful little decorating tools I’ve used and it’s so cheap. I lost one and bought another straight away. I painted our laminate kitchen cupboards with Benjamin Moore Advance paint. I used this on the occasional drip. When you sand a drip down you inevitably end up taking paint off the surrounding areas. This doesn’t. You move it back and forth over the drip and basically shave it down. The surrounding area isn’t affected so you can touch up the area or apply another coat without spoiling the finish.

Der Lackhobel ist zur Ausbesserung von Lackschäden nicht zu gebrauchen - er ist nicht plan und diverse Schneidekannten sind herausgebrochen.Damit kann man höchstens den guten Lack beschädigen.Mülleimer auf, rein und zu - fertig.
