This thing is built like a tank. It's got a great chassis, nice weight, and a lot of input/output options. Works well for switching between my docking work laptop and my PC tower. Being able to mix video inputs and PD while combining USB interfaces is really solid so switching between video and peripheral input sources is easy.The only downside is that while it's perfectly compatible with my Dell laptop, it doesn't seem to recognize my HP. The HP is about 4 years old so it stands to reason that there may be some compatibility issues on my end, so I'll only deduct 1 star. It does dock with my old dock though, so I want to be clear that there may be some kind of limitation.Overall, it's a pretty great dock though. It's a bit of a premium value, but a good one usually is.

I take my laptop to and from work everyday. The plugging in and unplugging of the cables was a nightmare. bI have numerous docking stations for my laptop, but not one I could use to switch between my laptop and desktop. Those other stations all have the same issue with my laptop. They would support multiple monitors but all would give me the same message saying that my laptop was charging slowly and to replace the charger. My only recourse was to plug the charger straight into my laptop. Now I get no charging errors with this docking station and my laptop charges quickly, actually just as fast as if it were plugged into directly to my power supply. But best of all now I can easily switch between laptop and desktop without skipping a beat.Another big plus . . . anytime I would connect my phone via USB to my laptop or desktop to transfer files, I would get an error message "slow charging please check to make sure cable is attached properly". I always considered it a nuisance message. Using the docking station's usb (PD + 15 W), I no longer get this message and my phone charges normally. Transfers go smoothly and my phone charges even with both systems powered down.

I've spent an additional $50+ on cables and adapters, but I can't get this KVM to work. For the money, I expected great things, but I've ended up with a paper weight.

Unfortunately, I personally could not get this Switch Docking Station to work with my laptop. The main issue seems to be compatibility; my laptop does not have a USB C-PD port but instead has a traditional round plug-in. I'm not sure if you need to plug your laptop into the device or if it can run on its own power, but despite my best efforts, I couldn't get it to function.The docking station itself is of super nice quality. The hard metal casing gives it a sturdy, premium feel, and it's clear that it is well-constructed. For the price, this aspect is quite impressive, and I do believe it could function well in the right setup.I imagine that for those with laptops or devices that match its compatibility requirements, this docking station would be a fantastic addition. Unfortunately, it didn't meet my needs, so I would advise potential buyers to double-check their device's compatibility before purchasing. This Switch Docking Station seems like it would be a great product for certain setups, but it just wasn't the right fit for mine.
