Cheaper than the 3M alternative and includes UV sealant that the 3M kit doesn't. Get some broad automotive tape and you have all you need to do the job, don't skip this step as it makes it a lot easier go right to the edge. I found it easy to stretch the kit to do three headlights so it works out very cheap per light. It took a fair amount of elbow grease and around 30 minutes for each light. I was pleasantly surprised how effective it was at taking a yellow cloudy light to white and clear.It works really well but if you've never done this before I think some additional instructions would go a long way to getting a good result:1. Use a spray bottle or sponge to keep the entire headlight wet while you work with the sanding papers and work in long smooth strokes.2. When you start with the first paper at 2000 grit keep working it until the slurry produced goes white. Initially it'll come off a dirty yellow colour, rinse it off and work it again until you have removed all the discoloured acrylic indicated by white slurry. If you don't get all the yellow off with the most abrasive paper it will only take longer and be harder to do with the next.3. Don't move on to the next paper until you have removed all of the lines from the previous. As you do each finer level perpendicular to the last, alternating between horizontal and vertical, you can tell when to move onto the next when you can't see lines going to other way to the current direction.4. The final polish in the squeeze tube is just a very fine abrasive compound, when you've worked the 5000 grit paper and have a hazy light this stuff will suddenly make it pop and shine, put plenty of work into this step.

So my 2006 Civic had been getting it's headlights cloudy for the past year and a half or so. I had tried cleaning it, and some product my girlfriend bought for her own headlights but nothing worked. If you would rub your hands on the headlight you will see it is buildup as well as part of the plastic.I bought this after watching a video on youtube of a guy using it on a car with headlights much worse than mine, they were yellow and stained and even broken. It made them pretty clear so I figured if it got his somewhat clear, mine should be even better.They give you 3 different kinds of sand paper. Make sure you wet it and the headlight and sand with the lower number sand paper first. The water on the headlight will change milky because of the stuff you are scraping off but buff it as much as possible. Repeat the same for all 3 papers.After using the polish my lights were almost crystal clear. They look as good as they did maybe a year after having my car.
