AS EXPECTED

It’s quite amazing how limited options there are in Amazon if you are looking for a quality display book. I wanted something that looked elegant, modern and luxurious since my plan was to print a sort of a product catalogue and use a display book as a reference guide with my clients. After some research, I felt Rexel should fit the bill since everyone kept praising it. Well I just received the soft touch display book and it is indeed all of those things I just listed, it definitely doesn’t look cheap. However, there are two big caveats to this display book that I don’t like at all.First is the soft-touch texture - I’m just not a big fan of it at all. It’s not really silky smooth or even “fluffy” but rather the opposite. This black “soft touch” material really reminds me more of that not so smooth leather you often find in leather shoes. Don’t get me wrong there is nothing wrong with this kind of “soft touch” material, it does look good, but it just doesn’t feel right to my fingers. It feels more sticky and non-slip type of material. This is, of course, a personal preference so some of you might just love and adore this type of material.My second complaint is again about the black soft-touch fabric. When you get the product it definitely looks excellent, the black is as deep as it could inhumanly be. However, this soft-touch fabric is also a massive dust magnet!!! I mean if you are planning to carry this in your backpack it will look ugly and dirty in no time. Because the soft-touch material is pitch black, it will show even the tiniest dust particles and let me tell you it’s not that easy to remove them either. I tried and I think I were to use this during travels I would spend a lot of time before each meeting cleaning the dust out of this display book... Not good!I think this folder is best suited for occasional use and in an environment that is very clean. So if you just store it in a bookshelf or a drawer where it cannot get in contact with dust, this should fit the bill. But if you plan to carry this from place to place I can only imagine how ugly and dirty it will look after a day or two. I have had this less than 15mins and it already shows a handful of dust and all I did was to place it on a table! See the picture yourself!I will possibly return this one and get the “Rexel Soft Touch Display Book A4 Black Smooth Leather” version which is basically identical to this one, but it's fully made from the same material as the spine on this one. Sure the spine on this display book is not real leather, it's fake but it does feel nice and elegant. And I would rather take that kind of a folder over this dust magnet version.Lastly, what comes to the pockets itself, they seem nice and clear, no complaints on that part. If this one didn't collect dust so well (or if it was less noticeable), then this would be pretty much a perfect display book. But now it's not the right one for me because I just can't stand the idea of having to constantly clean this.

Ich suchte eine Matte, wo ich meine Fotos unter bringen kann. Sieht gut aus, fühlt sich hochwertig an. Die einzelne Seiten sitzen gut und fest. Nichts eingerissen. Würde ich sofort wieder kaufen, somit zu empfehlen

Als Profi Fotograf lege ich Wert auf Qualität. Dieses Buch macht bei Kunden einen sehr wertigen Eindruck. Für mich gibt es zur Zeit keine bessere Mappe für Bilder in A4.

I took my documents displayed in this and I got the job. The compliance officer interviewing me said that I had all the documents needed. I knew that I had them all because I was organised.The document pockets are indeed very clear which makes the documents within them the subject matter.I suspect the plush outer finish that looks so smart when clean would pick up dust if left in a particularly dusty environment so it would need a vacuum before a job interview or whatever.After a couple more pay cheques I may also buy the next capacity up to house some special photographs.

Qualité supérieure. Belle finition. Je m'en sert de portfolio et ne dégrade pas la qualité des photos. Pochette plastique de qualité. Je recommande ce produit.

kann man nicht meckern. genug hüllen. edle optik. wirkt wertig und nicht so plastikmäßig. zwar alles künstlich aber besser als dieses plastefoliendinger

Ich habe mir das Sichtbuch als Präsentationsmappe für meine grafischen Arbeiten bestellt. Es ist Stabil, sieht wertig aus und ist relativ geruchsneutral, was ich enorm wichtig finde. Der Preis ist absolut in Ordnung dafür!

Ich brauche so Zeigebücher der besseren Art. Das hier ist das Beste von allen, die ich bislang hatte. Repräsentativ, gutes Design und sehr haltbare Einschubfolien.Sehr zu empfehlen.

Really professional finish and of a high quality visually. I purchased this to put all my professional qualifications into. Very pleased with the result, and it looks smart too when going to interviews. Keeps all documents in one place. The plastic inserts are good too - strong and durable, not cheap like some brands. Plenty of pages to be utilised too.
