I guess I'll join the many other great reviews , Art pure and simple and the detail is amazing. Solid and sturdy and a conversation everytime someone sees them. I'll buy some others and especially the knighted table.

La seule chose que je dirais, c'est que la personne qui a laissé le paquet, la laissé chez mon voisin d'à côté ! Pourtant mon adresse est bien indiqué!

Bought these to display a stack of gaming books, and they looked great…Until the weight of the books pushed them off of the shelf, destroying both bookends and damaging several of my expensive books. Very, very disappointed.

I found these and based on the demo pics thought I had found the best possible looking bookends I could find. I ordered them and bounced off the walls waiting for them to arrive. Then they showed up and I opened the package to find the beautiful silver and gold knights I was expecting were black and gold. The sculptures themselves are still beautifully made, while they came 8" tall as advertised they seem a fraction of the weight the reviews suggested they should be. I don't know how to feel about these. The models are awesome but the finish and weight are NOT what I expected. I guess I will try to get accustomed to the dark look as long as they are heavy enough not to be pushed over by the weight of the books I set them to hold.
