The first thing to address is the sizing – it’s all over the place.The sales description offered:Size L as UK size 10-11, Age 10-12Yet neither 10-11 nor age 10-12 was available to order – only age 9-10 or 11-12!Wanting UK 10-11 but it not actually being an option to order, I ordered age 11-12.I cannot compare the size of the 11-12 top I received to the sales size guide for size 10-11/ age 10/12, but the top I received measure as follows:Chest: 70cm/ 27.h inchesWaist 70cm/ 27.5 inchesLength, nape of neck to bottom hem 53cmSleeve length, underarm to wrist 41cm/ 20.8 inchesEach actual measurement of the top I received is at the very top end of the M sized, UK -9, age 8 -10 and the very bottom end of the L sized, UK10-11, age 10-12.I cannot recommend anyone to ordes this top if they are on the borders of the sizes advertised in the sales description size chart due to the uncertainty about what size you will actually receive given you cannot order the quoted sizes.Onto the material and construction of the top.The material is 88% polyester, 12% spandex, it fits well to the skin, is both heavy enough to provide insulation and lightweight enough not to restrict movement. It is well made – all the seams are even and matched up etc.I have posted a photo of it being worn on a 138cm 10 yr old, it it big on although I ordered it to be big with growing room. The recipient is very happy with it.The only improvement requested by wearer is to add thumb holes in the sleeves, the sleeves are very long so there is plenty of room to do so without impeding on the fit.Finally it's not just for boys, girls wear these too.

This is a really nice kids base layer, comfortable and looks well made. The only problem is the sizing is very small, I ordered a XL for my 13 year old boy who I'd say is average size, but it barely fits my smaller than average 10 year old.So great base layer but the largest size available will barely fit a 10 year old.

Lovely quality shirt which looks good on. Very well made. The colour is nice and rich too. Well worth the price.I have knocked off a star as it came up a bit small, so do keep this in mind.

These come up small so definitely look at the size guide they offer BUT keep this in mind …I ordered a size 11-12 for my 10yr old. The packet that arrived says ‘L’ which according to the size chart on the listing is for 10-12 years. There is no way this would even get over the head of my 12yr old.My 10yr old is a slender athletic build, so size UP!Material feels nice and he said he would wear it. It’s just arrived so not had a chance to test it on the sports field yet.
