There are four problems with this item:1. The threaded part of the binding post is too short. When the cap is unscrewed far enough to clear the hole where you insert the wire, the cap falls off the thread. This means that it's very difficult to use thick speaker wire.2. When mounted on a panel, there is nothing to stop the whole terminal unscrewing. There is a flat portion on the smaller thread, but this only stops the small, inner, collar rotating, it does not keep the whole thing from turning when the outer collar is turned.3. There is no proper connection between the solder-tag and the post. The connection relies on the spring washer and nut. There needs to be a wide flat area on the smaller thread so that the solder-tag is clamped securely on to the post.4. The insulating washers are too thin - they only allow the item to be mounted correctly on a very thin panel.

I connettori funzionano bene e sono facili da installare. Io li ho montati su delle casse vintage rcf br40b visto che i morsetti originali possono accettare solo cavi spellati, di dimensioni non troppo grandi. Nel mio caso non ho dovuto nemmeno rifare le saldature o allargare i fori nella vaschetta. Si adattano alla perfezione, basta solo togliere i vecchi connettori, mettere l’anello originale con il cavo saldato sul filetto del connettore e stringere il dado. Ora, grazie a questi connettori, ho risolto un problema d’audio che andava e veniva dai diffusori. Il tutto poi per dei falsi contatti tra il cavo spellato e i morsetti originali, ormai obsoleti e rovinati. Inoltre mi consentono di usare dei connettori a banana sul cavo, così da poter fare attacca e stacca agevolmente senza la preoccupazione del cavo spellato che si ossida all’aria.
