We are using outdoors with a junior team who play in trainers. This mat helps them learn directional skills for passing. We "extend" the lines of the mat by placing an object (cane or cone, or person) in a straight direction. The player concentrates on the mat and learns to kick the ball off. Very handy for training for penalty kicks. Coach advices which part of the shoe to connect with (toe, side). Build up muscle memory.
