This is a decent quality puller set. The metal pieces are sturdy and seem like they will hold up for quite a while.I did have one negative thing to mention. Everything in the box was soaked in oil. I think this is to prevent rusting but they went a bit overboard with it and it takes forever to clean off.

I’ve been looking. For a few different styles of bearing and seal pullers for a while now this one came up at the right time and although I don’t need one currently for any specific jobs The time will come and I’d rather have them on hand ready to go vs. Having the need arise and not having the right tool for the job…. I was really looking for a blind hole slide hammer with multiple collets in a kit and a bearing /raceway and seal driver kit that said I would much rather press or pull out any bearings and races that are in need of service vs. Hammering them out and these pullers can be applied to multiple different applications it may not be as versatile as the bearing and seal driver kits and a blind hole bearing collet and slide hammer kit but this will take things like bearings supporting a shaft in a case that sort of thing and now I gotta say that although quite late to arrive and had its fair share of aerodynamic air holes throughout the skipping box the blow molded plastic case was untouched and aside from 2 of the threaded hooks having popped out of place the rest of the kit was remarkably well protected by the case it has very positive clicking latches and just the standard thin sliver of plastic connecting the top half to the bottom half it’s not an actual hinge but at the price point I’m impressed that the case has clip like teeth that hold the parts in place and give an audible click when removing and putting parts away the instruction manual is surprisingly large and comprehensive it’s also packaged in a plastic bag for protection because the entire assembly came with a generous coating of oil on absolutely every metal part and enough of it in order to keep everything protected am not have the foam separator soak it all up it’s an incredibly well made tool and offers plenty of versatile setup options and plenty of functionality in a very small space for a very reasonable price I haven’t had a need for putting it to actual use in the real world but based on experience and hands on experience with dozens of different types of tools of every level from Dollarama to tool truck and everything in between this puller punches way above its class in terms of the metallurgy and fit/finish it’s not a tool truck level of refinement but it’s not the low quality stuff that has given budget friendly tools a bad reputation now it remains to be seen if the tolerances are good or if they’re just loose enough for the assembly to have an issue with slipping out of position as soon as tension is applied over and over or if the tabs for the hooks which are coated with some type of brownish colour reminiscent of that metallic grey that you see on magnetic bits but it’s a shiny brownish red that I have seen on other budget level specialty tools online tho never in person until now weather it’s some sort of powdercoat or anodizing a proprietary coating or even just simple paint and how well the coating will hold up remains to be seen but it’s definitely worth the price and by all appearances it should do the thing without any issues and if by chance it doesn’t work right or flexes slips chips bends etc. I will certainly be back immediately with an in-depth update detailing any faults or difficulties encountered with it and if the job was able to be completed however the tool as a whole or specific attachments had to be modified or unrelated parts adapted for the tool to preform its function as designed now if I just adapt some parts to it and it adds otherwise nonexistent functionality that’s a different story and I’ll update if that happens as well because if for a couple extra bolts and some dremel work can add accessories that add to the range of applications without physically modifying the existing parts that’s a major win and if existing parts need slight modifications to adapt to another application while still retaining all of it’s original functionality and features without compromising its strength or structural integrity I’ll certainly include updates with that as well as what parts were used and how any additional components were adapted to preform a given task and how the add ons preformed as well as any potential modifications needed to preform specific jobs what was changed why it had to be done and how it effected the overall functionality of the tool as a whole say the hooks needed to be clearances to fit a specific bearing on a specific make and model I’m wondering if it can work in place of the specialty puller for the Harley Davidson big twin 1984 to present 5 & 6 speed transmissions main shaft bearing and seal which is a source of concern for my particular dyna being an 06 it’s a known point of failure specifically the transmission main shaft seal walking back into the housing and the inner primary bearings having a tendency to fail however that’s a long convoluted topic which is nonexistent according to head office and only affected initial run of domestic production models in the first quarter of the model year and by the time it was discovered only a handful of customers were affected and allegedly there was an internal recall on all 2006 dynas manufactured for domestic sales where they were pulled off the showroom floors and retrofitted then reintroduced for sale about the same time the internal models began shipping out the American market versions were being put for sale I might be Canadian but my Harley is an imported USA domestic model easy to identify by the speedometer being in miles not KMS and the VIN shows it was from the very first production of the model year and aside from what I could find on the internet across too many paid vin lookups too be able to remember why one actually had my amount of info about it but by the key chain it was sold new in Florida then traded and sold while still having factory warranty a second time somewhere like South Carolina at another Harley dealership or something like that then some point it was imported into Canada after being bought from an American auction and then the best I can tell is that the guy I got it from had it 4-6 years he bought it from the first Canadian owner and that person had meticulously maintained it kept documents for every oil change and service and had the dealership Handel it all then it was sold to the man I bought it from who had lost the folder with all the receipts and history of the bike during a divorce and moving to a new property and his idea of maintenance was to change the oil once in the summer and every second year if it passed the MVI that meant there was nothing wrong with it etc. when the battery for the alarm system died and the horn was sounding nonstop he pulled the connectors the headlight was changed to an led but instead of pulling the harness from the steering neck disconnecting the headlight and plugging in the new one the wires were cut an inch or two from the OEM connector and the factory installed connector on the aftermarket headlight was cut off and the 3 wires were twisted together electrical tape wrapped around each wire and then when the black electrical tape ran out bright orange tape was wrapped up and down making a pseudo wire loam that had a large bulge preventing it from being pushed into the backbone through the grommet for the hand controls at the steering head there were generic heated grips installed directly on the battery terminals and the trickle charge plug was wrapped in hockey tape butt connector type indoor rated ring connectors were obviously pinched on using pliers not a crimping tool the tooth marks from needle nose pliers were obvious and both of them were connected to the positive battery terminal and it had 42,500 miles but it ran amazingly well it needed some cosmetic elbow grease to bring it back basically he had it long enough to make it look rough and do questionable mods but not long enough that it was in need of a fill ground up restoration it was far from perfect but it was even further from the point of no return and internally when I did the cam chain tensioner shoe inspection and went ahead and rebuilt the cam chest new lifters new tensioner assemblies all new gaskets and orings new oil pump wave washer inspected and micd the cam lobes and the gerotors from the oil pump replaced the sprocket bolts and spacers after following the alignment procedure switched to quickie adjustable pushrods replaced the intake gaskets measured my pinion shaft runout ~0.0035” about three and a half thou with the wobble towards the bottom rear of its travel and the witness marks on the support plate matched with the results we got on the dial calibre and I replaced both inner cam bearings I didn’t have the tool or parts on hand to replace the check valve so I sprayed solvents through and worked it with a polymer pick tool to make sure that fluids could flow through and that it wasn’t catching along its length of travel and the tensioner shoes for example were on par with what I’d expect to see from 10k miles not he 45k miles it had by the time I did the inspection see they claim at 45k for hydraulic it’s time to check them and where I had no history with it I soent all winter that first year accumulating parts and tools with the mindset that it’s gotta get checked and if it’s worn I’ll be up a creek because by spring that stuff tends to sell out fast and it’s back ordered or it’s low quality eBay knockoff parts or importing them from the states and paying a fortune so I decided to do adjustable pushrods and the lifters one was a little ticky when cold basically it was bleeding down ever so slightly faster than the rest and pumping up the littlest bit slower than the rest or that’s how it sounded I couldn’t find anything that indicated that but my primary tensioner was sticky in the bore not enough to cause anything but the slightest tick similar to lifter ticking where I’m getting at either that is you see I’ve never had a more comfortable motorcycle and I absolutely love my bike and I love working on it and there’s a few other things that need to be inspected before I have the ability to relax and know that everything’s not only in perfectly good serviceable condition but that it’s safe and nothing is showing extreme signs of wear and seeing as I have to replace my clutch cable due to a tiny hole worn through by where it was originally routed and chafing against the crossmember so while that’s open is the time to look at everything else and that’s why I wanna have this handy and with that I thank you for your time and I will update this review if it’s anything but a good puller that needed absolutely nothing modified to do everything I needed and expected of it and to officially give the answer to does it do the thing it appears that it will but I can’t be sure of that for now….

My husband recently got his hands on the 21-in-1 Bearing Puller Set, and it's been a valuable addition to his toolkit for various projects around the house and his workshop. One of the things he immediately liked about this set is its versatility. With a total of 21 pieces, it includes everything he needs for both internal and external bearing removal, as well as a 3-jaw hook puller. This means he can tackle multiple tasks without having to search for different tools.Using the set has significantly simplified the process of extracting bearings. He was particularly impressed by how easy it was to switch between different pullers, which saved him a lot of time during his recent car maintenance project. The quality of the tools feels durable and well-made, so he’s confident that they will hold up well over time. However, there were a couple of downsides he noticed. First, while the set comes with various puller attachments, the instruction manual was not as clear as it could be. He found himself needing to consult online resources to fully utilize some of the more complex tools, which was a bit frustrating, and the case is somewhat bulky. Although it organizes the tools nicely, it takes up quite a bit of space in his workshop, making it less convenient to store.Overall, the 21-in-1 Bearing Puller Set has proven to be an excellent investment for my husband. It has made his DIY tasks much more efficient, and he appreciates having a comprehensive set for various bearing extraction needs. If you're a home mechanic or someone who frequently works with bearings, this toolset is definitely worth considering.

Very versatile and lots of combinations make this puller set a standout. The pieces are properly oiled to prevent rust. Heavy gauge material is used here. Plastic case is the weak point. It doesn’t contains the pieces well enough.
