The chair is soft and comfy but feeling the bar at the back of the legs is uncomfortable

I bought this for my son at christmas and he loves it. The chair is in constant use and it it really robust, my son is almost 16 and autistic and just throws himself into it constantly, and there have been no issues with it.

While the chair is very soft and plushy, there is a front metal bar that comes under your thighs, the foot rest does not help alleviate the problem. I am 1.6 m tall and this metal bar is extremely uncomfortable despite the thick pillow above it. Returning the chair.

This is a reasonably comfortable faux fur chair and footstool combination that comes ready built with no assembly needed, simply take out, fold the legs and sit in it. The footstool may need the cover Velcroing in place but thats very easy to do.The chair is available in a variety of colours with options with and without the stool. The cover is a soft faux fur effect so is very soft and also very warm. I don't believe the cover is removeable (or at least I haven't worked out how to remove it).Comfort wise, I am torn. When you lounge down in the chair you get really comfortable but the bottom bar sits right across the top of your legs/bottom and can feel a little firm. There is a foam cover across the bar but that doesn't really help that much. I am 5 foot 9 inches tall, and found that I was just a little too tall to get my head right on the back, unless I shuffled forward so my head rested at the top of the back. Once i got that right it felt great.This would be a great addition to a kids room, study or somewhere that you just want to relax in and with the footstool and a blanket I can imagine falling asleep in this very quickly. A very nice comfortable chair that could maybe have a little more padding across the bottom bar.

With limited space where I live, the balance of comfort, space utilisation and budget can be a little tricky.Comfort is definitely guaranteed with this, being foldable means it ticks the space utilisation, budget wise, it is reasonably priced when quality and convenience are considered.This is not as comfortable as my ultimate comfort IKEA chair, but that doesn't fold and needs permanent space in my home, so you do the math.It is reasonably priced considering the quality of both the chair and the footstool, and I would recommend it for those with limited space.
