These 5.5mm nail polish mixing agitator balls work surprisingly well for mixing paint for model building. At the point of my purchase these we’re quite cheap compared to other mixing balls. Even my test balls in water still look good after a few months.

Used these to pop in some acrylic paint pots as mixers and they seem to work just fine at the moment. Much cheaper than on offer elsewhere for the same 'specialist' purpose.
