Seller took a while to send the item but im glad I waited. I highly recommend this brake. The feel is just above anything else ive used in the past like, Dominion A4, Magura MT7 HC3 and Code RSCs. This lever is coupled with an MT7 caliper with metal pads and its too awesome. But All brakes in this era is more than enough for anyones capability. I think the future of the brake innovation and its technology will be towards the feel and not towards power. If i rank all the brakes it be define by their characteristics and i believe that there's no such thing as the #1 brake. The #1 brake should be what ever fits your budget. To start:Shimano XTR with Magura Caliper, best feeling with too much power. Its a very snappy yet feels like the right amount modulation requires more experience. The modulation in this lever takes some time to get used to it, unlike the Hayes A4. This is still new to me and its winder to its still shocking to me. I thought that my A4 has lots of power, this have power... too much imo. I may have to use resin pads on it. Bleeding is pretty easy even with the magura caliper.Hayes A4, the best modulation with lots of power. I feel that the SFL lever that i have dont have the right angle for my short finger even though the SFL is made for people with short fingers. Hayes have the best quality feel of the material of any brakes ive used especially their hoses. It feels more sturdy and there's no flex on the hoses. It is definitely the easiest brake for initial bleed no questions ask.Code RSC, i believe that this brake is for everyone because it has the most available spare parts on the market. Their online instruction is bar none above everyone's. But there's too much modulation and too much lever stroke but its really a con and you can get use to it real quick. It does have power just like all the brakes ive used. But you have to get use to the modulation. You can eliminate some of that spongy feel if you use a thicker rotor. I also feel that using the automotive brake fluid, prestone 5.1 made it feel more snapier.MT7 Pro, lots of adjustability that i think is important if you're looking for that sweet spot level of feel. The lever do feel cheaply made though without the HC3. Be very careful when you're bleeding this brake and if you search why, you'll understand why, this carbotech technology is a hype. Also what I hate about the lever feel is that it feels like its flexing with the normal lever and ot feels like an upgrade lever is a must. it is also much harder to bleed this brake than anything else. It took me hours to do my 1st bleed and after i figured out, its pretty easy but still more tideous. If there is a favorite brake for me to use, it will be the Code RSC because i know there's spare parts. None of the other brakes have the same repair capability as the sram products. Most brakes in the market are not completely repairable and worst are the Maguras. Maguras have the worst repairability because you can not repair any of their brakes unless you buy cheap products from aliexpress. I've used it, works good but you will never be able to repair the reservoir diaphram, which is vital to the longevity of any brakes. To conclude my review with my initial impressions of this XTR brake lever, right off the bat, the best feeling brake I have ever used.

This brake lever is paired with Saint 810 caliper and it is the ultimate brake/caliper combination.
