This works well. I used a pilot hole first and this made the drilling a doddle. Keep the drill speeds low and use a side handle next to the chuck to stop snatching.

Drilled the one hole i wanted it to but is certainly not fit to drill any more . i actually bought 4 sizes to get up from 14mm to 20mm through cast iron about 12mm thickAll 4 bits struggled and 2 actually bent when they grabbed and all 4 chipped of the cutting edge and the fluting wore away veey quickly . i guess they are made of poor steel.

I was a little hesitant about buying this bit going by some of the other reviews on here, but at the time I needed one for a one off job and the price was right.I've so far found this to be a half decent bit of kit, having used it to drill multiple holes through scaffold poles and sheet steel up to 6mm thick and it's still going. It does cut with relative ease provided that plenty of oil is used and the rotation is very slow, but it does catch and snag on the metal from time to time. If not kept well oiled when cutting, these bits will quickly dull and the steel becomes too soft to re-sharpen easily.The only real issue I've got with this is it's sale description, particularly the bit about a reduced shank - there basically isn't one. The very misleading sale picture implied to me a shank diameter of 7 to 8mm or so which would indeed fit most domestic drills, but the actual bit only reduces by 1mm leaving a shank of 13mm - far too big for most smaller drills. I also found the total length of the bit to be about 151 mm. I used this in a Bosch CSB percussion drill and it fitted and went fine, but I can see why some people couldn't get it to fit their drills. Definitely check your drill beforehand - it's a chunky thing! Other than that, the general shape of the bit is slightly different, but it's still 14mm.Overall, for the money you pay, I think this is a decent tool that can withstand a beating providing it's looked after - plenty oil and slow rotation is vital, and I would buy another one if needed. Just don't expect to crack any safes with it.

Der Schaft ist geschätzt 2 mm abgesetzt. Die Länge des Bohrers ist ca. 15 cm. An den Schneiden sind leichte Macken zu erkennen. Zur Haltbarkeit kann ich erst später was sagen, sofern ich ihn eingespannt bekomme.

Leider ist das Foto vollkommen irreführend da sich der Schaft / Hals nicht wie abgebildte verjüngt (laut Abbildung so auf ca. 50% des Durchmessers)Da ich ihn in eine 10er Bohrfutter einspannen wollte ist. er vollkommen unbrauchbar.Zudem ist der Bohrer normal lang (stimmt somit auch nicht im Bild).

Sehr stabiler und Verschleißfsster geschliffener Bohrer... mußte 450 Löcher aufbohren, hielt ohne nachschleifen durch und ist immer noch scharf. Kein kantenbruch
