2024: Sony’s update to the Monitor & Control app makes my iPhone 15 Pro Max an incredible monitor with camera control. So much better than the Monitor’s with camera control that I’ve purchased, and will less cable clutter - only requiring a single usb-c cable from camera to phone. But I’m worried about the USBC connection to my Sony FX3, which doesn’t inspire confidence. I purchased this cable clamp and the compatible Hawklock half-cage and love the peace of mind of having my USBC cable clamped securely into my FX3, preventing an expensive and untimely repair. I wish Smallrig would also make a stand-alone usbc clamp for the FX3 that doesn’t require the hawklock cage to lighten my load, but this is the next best thing.

This thing sucks and I'm bummed that I missed the window to return it. I have a Sony A7Riv camera and use tethering quite a bit, so I thought this would be perfect to secure the cables. From reading the description, this should fit my camera, but it does not. At least not with my cage. I'm using a SmallRig HawkLock Quick Release Cage (one of the newer models) and there's no attachment point for this anywhere near where the connections are located on the camera. I like Smallrig products, but I really wish they would be more clear with their accessories regarding which equipment they fit.
