My review is based on quality alone as I can't test in the spa in the winter due to no sun being about.The build quality is very good and a lot of thought has been put into its design. Great that it's solar power and not battery power as it has all day to charge and work.The materials used for the build is very good too which I think makes the unit feel and look better.Can't wait for the summer to try it out.

This solar pool ionizer is fantastic, I've had plenty of these in the past and this is certainly one of the best designed ionizers on the market. This pool ionizer works fully from solar so no worrying about corrosion of batterys and water damage as this is a fully sealed unit. I've always had these to reduce the amount of chlorine and up until now they help reduce the chlorine levels to half the amount, chlorine tends to dry and split my skin and I have sensitive skin and ihave tryed bromine instead of chlorine and found it really doesn't clean aswell and salt water is also a big no to my skin so chlorine is the only way. There are many other tricks to reducing algae and chlorine levels but they are not suitable for long term pools, also using copper based algaecides can turn your hair green, this is by far the safest and most effective way to deal with it. Simply unpack out of the box and throu it in your pool. No setting up and very little maintenance requiring you to clean the ionizer itself every couple of weeks to keep the coil clean, wire cleaning brush is also supplied. Very robust design and decent quality solar cells embedded to the top, this solar pool ionizer also feature a small hole to tie the ionizer to the side of your pool which is great as this will stop it getting sucked into the leaf skimmer as where all floating toys end up. Excellent value for money and highly recommend. Thanks.

Desde que lo pusimos en la piscina el agua está súper cristalina. Con la misma cantidad de cloro o menos el agua está súper bien. Cada 15 días aproximadamente lo saco para limpiarlo bien. Ahora que ya hemos cerrado la piscina lo he sacado del agua porque con la cubierta no le daría el sol y no serviría para nada.Cuando llegue de nuevo, la temporada de piscina, lo volveré a poner sin duda.

So disappointed obviously misread the description..did specifically search for a pool heater.. total waste of money
