I bought this to add as an internal siren to a house alarm. I wanted something that was not piercingly loud as my daughter and dog may dislike. Yes it is reasonably loud. My issues are there is only 25cm of cable supplied. Not even enough to wire through the stud to the back of the alarm box. Also I was looking for something that you can adjust volume. My understanding with this was that it can be adjusted. I do not see how? I opened it and it is a really simple circut that I cannot see any adjustment on. I think it was on a review about the adjusting so not the sellee if I remember.2 stars as the lead is too short and no where inside to connect a longer one so a joiner somewhere in the wall or wall box is the only way. It is fine otherwise I suppose. Quite tiny but effective.

We were disappointed with this strobe/ alarm, the photos show that it's sound level was adjustable but it's not. The device has no buttons, switches or other means of lowering the volume!! However, it is well made, it looks neat, tidy and unobtrusive and while the sound level isn't quite loud enough for our needs, it might be fine for some. I guess it depends on what you want to use it for. We returned the item but would have kept it had the sound been adjustable and a bit louder.

Pues eso, chinada cutre que para más inri no funcionaba. Hacia un amago de sonar y nada más. Lo desmonté, vi que los plásticos interiores estaban rotos, moví un poco los cables y conseguí que funcionara. Lo cerré todo con cuidado y una vez funcionando es verdad que suena muy fuerte y los led se ven bien. A ver cuánto dura

Cheap as chips and works well, good loud siren and flashing light is a bonus. Used to connect to an overflow float switch on a sump pump so that it sounds in the event of pump failure.
