They are huge step up from the mismatched wooden stools that they are replacing! The materials are quite nice, good stitching and quality, easy to assemble. They spin and are height adjustable. All those great things. The top of the chair back is about level with my kitchen countertop when at lowest height, and the chair seat is just about level at max height.The one thing that makes me not absolutely LOVE them is what I've been calling the tippy slippy factor. I can't just plop my bottom in these, I have to hold the thing in place to sit down or it gets tippy and slippy. Not sure if that is a product of the base size, or the fact that the base has almost no weight, maybe it's because I'm a shorty. Whatever the cause, I am not sitting in these really ever, although my guests do when I have them and nobody has said a word about tippy/slippy. AND, just to show that it's not necessarily a deal breaker, I do have to say being able to make these taller so that my toddler can sit at the counter comfortably and play while I bake or cook is super awesome :)

Nice stools, they look way more expensive than they are. Easy assembly and very comfortable. Hard to beat for the price.

I really like these bar stools for our kitchen island. They are slightly commercial looking which doesn't really match the style of our kitchen but really I still thought they looked good. My son did ask my husband after he assembled it if it was a barber chair. I see the resemblance. We have had 2 stools at our island forever that are the most uncomfortable chairs and it never fails that every time you walk by you manage to wack your elbow on the metal frame. So glad to get rid of them! These are really comfortable and swivel nicely. My husband said he would like them in his polebarn, they look good and would make it easier to work on things so I might order another set. My husband said they were really easy to assemble, 5 bolts. It took him 10 minutes including taking them out of the box.

Update:I returned my first set and purchased a new set. The second set had the hardware. Now that I have assembled them, I love them. I knew they were adjustable, but it wasn’t until I assembled them that I could tell how adjustable. I was very surprised when they raised all the way up to bar height. This makes them super flexible. They soon smoothly and the seats are comfortable and have good back support. I am very pleased with them, and do recommend them.Original:The assembly on this would be super easy, except for the fact that I did not get the bolts and wrench for either barstool. I will reach out to the seller and update my review if I get them.I did sit the chair on top of the base so you can see what it looks like when assembled. Once I get everything I need to assemble it, I will update my review to tell you how smoothly it spins and how well the adjustment on it works.
