I'm a second grade teacher with some littles with ADHD. They are able to focus so much better with the aid of a fidget. It's quiet and simple, and they can keep it in their hands discreetly without being disuptive or noisy. They can be twisted and turned and pulled apart easily and smoothly. I even find myself playing with one every once in a while. I keep a little basket of these and pull them out when I notice a kiddo having a hard time. Works very well.

So we teach a church class and one of our little boys in the class is autistic and causes some attention problems for the other kids since he can't focus or sit still. We bought these for him to play with and keep busy, but I have to admit that I was having as much fun as he was. These just constantly move and rotate. It's almost a game to try to get them to catch and get stuck as the shapes allow you to constantly move the tangles without it catching very often. The three different colors allow you or your child to be picky if they don't like one over the other. One broke and I thought "Well, that was a waste" until I actually looked at it and snapped it back together in less time than it took to have my previous negative thought. They are somewhat soothing and not too big so no one really notices that you have it, allowing you to discreetly use them whenever you want (though the yellow stands out if you really want to hide them... lol). For the cost, this was a wonderful purchase that did what we wanted it to... though I started using them, too. ;)
