Not the correct part for my 2011 fortwo, although it is listed as the correct part. I had to cut out a molded plastic section in the connector to make the piece plug into the car. Used some electric tape to ensure it was secure. It works now.

The replacement rear hatch latch for my 2009 Smart fits and works well. It was easy to install.

I own a 2009, SMART For Two, Cabrio/Passion. Replacing second dealer OEM lift gate handle/switch. Plastic pivot pins are very minimal. TBest product description claims this lift gate replacement will work. The TBest Electrical connector was not a match for the OEM connector. Internal key differences/mismatch would not allow the TBest/OEM connector to mate or even close to make electrical connection. Externally they look the same. Had to cut/splice/solder/shrink tape the OEM connector, to replace the no good TBest pigtail/electrical connector. TBest lift gate housing is a marginal fit in the gate cutout, as it is a bit too tight/snug and the two over locking tabs may slip off with use eventually. The unnecessary DIY splice fix worked to eliminate fussy return hassles. Rear tail gate works again. But, for how long?3 Stars for poor QCGlenn P.

I can confirm this does not fit a 451 2009 passion. However, I cut down the plastic housing on the connector to make the fit together then just taped them round. Secondly, as another review mentions, the handle doesn’t fit snuggly up against the hole so a slight gap occurs around it. Not an issue I guess. In other words, if you’re happy to do a small modification then great otherwise move on.
