I am using this on CCD cameras that dont have the included IR cut filter.Works great and is a quality product, especially at this price.

Overall fit and finish of these filters is excellent. They are metal and the threads are smooth. The filters are easily stacked to achieve the level of darkening desired. The filters come stacked in a single case with material to hold them in place. They are fairly thin, so be careful when handling because they are slippery.

This arrived safely packed in its own plastic, lidded case (with foam rubber padding on the inside of the case). It is absolutely clear, and dramatically reduces light produced by artificial sources. Viewing the moon or planetary objects (how I have used it so far) the image is exceedingly clear, so that the stripes of Jupiter and its giant red spot are easily visible, even on a brightly moonlit night near a major city.

Modern city lights demand a good quality UHC filter for viewing the sky while filtering light pollution. This filter appears to be identical in every way that I could tell to the FIBONAX filter I also tested, and that makes it a step or two better than the cheap economy UHC filters that are pretty common. The FIBONAX filter product specs actually provide a spectrum graph showing which wavelengths they filter, so between the two I would point you to that product instead. However, visually I could see no difference and suspect this one is spectrally identical. Either way, don’t handicap your good eyepieces by slipping a cheap filter between them and the heavens — go with the FIBONAX or this one for a better quality view.

Stargazing in the city is always a challenge, and while this doesn't eliminate light pollution by any means (not that it's advertised as being able to do so anyhow), it does add a good bit of contrast and makes objects a little bit easier to see. It's not too much of a difference, but honestly I probably just need to venture a little bit further outside of the city to get the best effect.
